The Beretta CX4 Thread

That's why I have mine set up with a 1-4x scope rather than a RDS and have sighted it in at 50m. I don't expect to shoot much at 100m, that's a full foot of bullet drop. :)

A guy at my range let me try this rifle today and I am impressed at the accuracy for a .40, the fell was nice and it was a lot heavier than I expected, which is not a bad thing at all. Adding one for sure to my 'want' list

Sierra Papa parts availiable thru #####h Armoury. They have offices in the BC interior and Arizona, and have all their export paperwork in place.

like I said, took a while and it was not cheap, but the carbine is so much nicer to shoot. trigger is like a decently tuned factory AR-15 trigger now. I would estimate 4-5 lbs, fairly crisp, very repeatable.

they tell you to send it in and that it needs to be measured to see if you need the little clip. Unfortunately, I did not need the clip. apparently its smoother if you can use the clip as its nice polished stainless. you will be able to tell tho, as the hammer will be way to hard to #### if you put the clip in and the length is too short.

They need to put up some clear how to directions. they have a decent how to on trigger group removal, but the rest is kind of up to you. I am ok with my hands and have good tools as I am a liscenced auto tech, but it was still kinda stressful without real directions.

Installed thre SP hammer, hammer spring and trigger, but can't get bolt release to function properly. I wonder if the trigger is pushing the trigger spring into some weird contortion? Did you have any problems with that? I was a bit surprised they didn't supply a trigger spring and an overtravel screw in the kit.

When the slide release is installed, it won't properly function- basically it doesn't want to move.

When I try to slide the upper onto the lower, it get's blocked by the slide release "operating arm" for lack of a better term. Comparing it to my other, identical Storm, everything seems to be fit in properly, but obviously, it's not.

The function of trigger/hammer is fine. Pull the trigger and the hammer works.

Did you get a new trigger spring or trigger over travel screw in your kit? The way I've installed it is identical to my other carbine so I'm a bit confused....

hammer spring was new, but the odd shaped trigger spring that hooks underneath that long link was re used. trigger itself came with the over travel screw.

take some good clear pics of your setup with the upper off, maybe I can spot the problem.

or call Sierra Papa, they are quite good at service. Even email and then let them call you.

Tried my used cx4 today, about 120 rounds through her. 2 9mm mags and 2 40mags, all worked flawlessly with the Blazer brass I was shooting.
Red dot holoson, had it an inch high at 50, and then it was about 3 low at 100. Not bad. Although at 100 she had a big spread. At 50 it was approx a 2x2 group. Upwards of 3 wide. Pretty impressive for just using a red dog

I had guests today shooting a 8" gong at 100 m with a Holosun red dot. These were new shooters and all they were doing was putting elbows on the table (standing) I though tit was pretty good. One day I will stry shooting a group with a scope from a benchrest. I bet these things are pretty accurate.

What Yall using for a case for your cx4? Due to the pistol grip and sight on it she is too tall to fit in my generic soft cases. But since the gun is so nice and compact I hate to just throw it in a massive case.

Were the 40 mags beretta or aftermarket? I've been searching for some info on using .40sw 96 mags in the NR 9mm CX4 without much luck. Would anyone be willing to point me in the right direction on where to find info on the topic? Are there any issues or modifications required to use the beretta 40sw 96 mags in the 9 mm NR?
