The Beretta CX4 Thread

Yea, it took some getting used to for the one I used to have. This one has the sierra papa and it seems to take a lot of the weight out of the pull. I'm excited to see if I can rapid fire, I couldn't seem to with the factory trigger.

To shoot my CX4 fast I have to slap the trigger more than puling on it. Does the Sierra Papa kit give you a crisper more defined trigger brake?

The Sierra Papa trigger upgrade is night and day different than the stock one. It's still no match grade 1911, but it is a vast improvement. My stock trigger hurt my finger in ways that a gun should not.

SP trigger install is like doing it without a rubber but mb after a couple whiskies if you know what I mean. Its not aTikka trigger feel but a hella lot better than stock. Lol

I have a question regarding the install of a beretta faux suppressor I picked up from aztek. Once the shroud goes over the barrel does anyone know how much of a gap remains between the end of the barrel the the end of the shroud? Assuming they don’t fit flush completely.

I’m glad this thread’s been revived!! Anyone have one of the Beretta Barrel Shrouds for sale used?

Also, what optics are you guys running on yours?

I saw one in the EE.
Cheapest one I have ever seen too.

Funny, I’ve done searches using every keyword I could think of and couldn’t find one. Even searched back 3 months... Maybe you’re just confused as to what I’m referring to, or unless you’re just adding comments for the hell of it perhaps you could provide a link to this elusive EE shroud you claim is there?

For truckstop - when I had mine the shroud was universal (9mm - 45ACP) so on my 9mm there was at least the 9mm barrel thickness plus 1-2 mm to compensate for the larger 45ACP barrel.

He does that sort of thing alot "adds comments with no purpose or meaning" must be very uncomfortable dealing with his thoughts and feelings

Thanks Bogozzo. Was trying to figure out how much longer it will make it since Only have a few cms of space to fit in the bag.

I have several out of the 16" barrel which will be very close to your 18.5". What info are you looking for?

I am curious if the 19" barrel enhances velocity or actually slows things down a bit.

You get an increase in velocity with the longer barrel.

Beretta Storm 16.5" barrel 4.1 Grains of Win 231 Avg Vel. 1,274 fps
CZ Shadowline 4.7" barrel 4.1 Grains of Win 231 Avg Vel. 1,105 fps

This is true with lead, plated and FMJ bullets as well as other pistol calibers I have tested. 9MM, 38spl, .357mag, 44 mag.

Loads shot over a F1 Chrony

I am tempted to open up the rear sight a bit for close in work. I opened my Sub2K to 13/64 using a drill bit and the peep became much more usable. I have a Sparc2 on the gun but like to co-witness feature.

If you do, let us know how it goes. I find it to be a bit on the narrow side as well. In fact I don't even bother with the LR peep as the close range one works fine past 100m.
