The Best Lee Enfield Rifle???

ShtLE Mk1 (no star) made at RSAF Sparkbrook. This is the rarest production of Sht LE from the rarest factory that made them and they are really stunning rifles in person :)

There are rarer guns (NZD carbines leap to mind), but I still prefer the Sparky Mk1 ;)

This one. Unissued '44 Lithgow.

An un-issued 1941 No.4 Mk1 Longbranch ..........

Ok, so now that's out of the question....... :p

How about an un-issued 1945 No.4 Mk1* Longbranch ..... :D

I don't know..... but there's something about un-issued pieces that are attractive. They do make great reference rifles, when you're trying to compare markings and parts against similar ones that have been in service or been through FTR's.

~Angel~ got a beautiful un-issued 1950 C No.4 Mk1* Longbranch off a CGN member last year.

BTW: Stevo.... I'll take that ..... :D :D :D Awesome piece.... ;)

Dunno Doug - you need to get the elusive Mk1 Sparkbrook I talked about in a minty state (they're out there) and then tell me a minty LB ever compares again (it doesn't!) ;)

An unrebuilt '41 LB is VERY high on the list though...

A nice original un-FTR'ed WW1 era british SMLE. When most people think "enfield" that's gotta be what pops into thier heads. Incidentally, if you have one of these and want to sell it, let me know!

Just Beautiful! How accurate is it?

Thanks. I've not shot it since my Dad gave it to me. Too many other rifles to shoot.;) It's been in the family for the last 45 years or so. Dad never had a problem getting it into 2" at 100 yds, and he had a cast load for it that shot tighter.

Im with him.......

X3 as far as accuracy goes. But is it really an Enfield ? A Mauser design made in the US don't sound much like an Enfield to me.
