This big girl came swimming by us as we were duck hunting. Rifle season for deer had opened that day and we could hear a group with dogs pushing a large island that separates the marsh from the main lake about 300 yards from where we were set up. I guess this moose was up on that island as thats where she came from and wanted nothing to do with the deer hunters and their dogs who were disturbing her quiet little hideout.

This was a goose hunt on a snowy day in Fort Erie, Ont in December. There is a decoy spread behind this guy............

This was the view of the decoys when the snows being driven by the howling winds coming off Lake Erie would ease up for a minute or two at a time......

Went to make a couple stands for yotes this morning and had to abandon a few of my favorite spots... Temperature went from -12 and big snowstorm to plus 12 in a day.... would almost have to canoe in to some spots.... I did get to have a nice walk down a couple of my trails though and a nice hot cup of coffee on a sunny day while sitting on a stump is not a bad deal at all....

Interesting photo, the large piece of snow/ice in the middle looks like an old indian arrow-head. BTW, beautiful photo!
