You know what is far rarer than a dandy cinnamon boar...? A "Dogleg" smile caught on camera... right up there with getting a focused picture of sasquatch.

I was into the 13th or 14th minute of a stand-up routine before I was able to snap a rapidly fading grin.

Gorgeous colour phase bears gents!!!! Congrats.

Big old bear my hunter took last week.
He’d shot a nice blacky that tried to kill us. We’ll, he got into our cooler and re supply was a few days out. I cleaned up the skull and set it on a rock in front of the tent, when we got back from the evening hunt it was gone. Next morning I got looking and the whole 300 pound carcass was dragged and carried away. I was a couple steps ahead of my client when I saw this guy about 20 yards off. Waved Art up with 2 1/2 pounds pull on my 3 pound trigger as the bear was doing that hop on his front legs thing that I interpreted as “back off or I’m coming”. Art stepped up and layed him down.
The bear was standing on the buried carcass but the weird thing is that he also had the skull right there. Why did he come back for the skull? No meat on it and lots of better stuff around. Pure display of dominance?

The last bear I shot was 40 years ago. Then this year, I was fortunate to kill two really big ones. The spring bear went 20" and my fall bear 19.5". We made a bunch of sausage. It was good!

Went to Kapuskasing this fall for camping. Bears every day. Had a tag but too warm. Looking for a butcher in the area so I can take one and stay for the week. It's a 12 hr drive for me.

My wife’s bear a few years ago. 507lbs shot with 40lb Hoyt at 18 yards. Complete pass through and expired in 19 yards. Her first bear. Scored 20 9-16”. Made pope and young that year.

I had a great year, took a Boon and Crocket all time scoring bear at 21 6/16". 300 yards with a .308 Sig Cross. Currently holding 26th place for BC!
