The CETME L , The CETME with no legal information in Canada.

Awesome! Worst-case scenario is that they'd have to submit another sample with a few extra features to prevent full-auto fire. Hopefully Marcolmar is still willing to work with marstar.

It sounds like they are, they made the NR sample and provided the Restricted sample for Marstar, Marcolmar are also a bunch of cool dudes, they've been pretty friendly in the emails I've had with them.

I spoke with John at Marstar and they confirmed that they submitted a Marcolmar Cetme L to the lab in January 2020, they didnt say much but they confirmed that the project was something that they are still working on and it hasnt been shelved.

Its my understanding that imported firearms take a longer time in the lab compared to domestic production so at 1 and a half years and it not being given a PROHIBITED frt report I would say thats at least somewhat hopeful

they are most likely considering it nr then since its been 1.5 years. at the very least we get a restricted rifle.

Any word/idea on how many CETME Ls would be coming in?

As far as I'm aware, MarColMar had around 10k parts kits as of January 2020, so presumably a percentage of those would have to be set aside for the Canadian market, hopefully to be given 18.6" barrels.

shut up weeb.
But yeah basically a sample with an 18.6" barrel was submitted. So it seems like NR is the goal, although Id also gladly take an LC if Marcolmar and marstar would be so kind. That collapsing stock makes me coom

Shut up Boomer Asthetics.
I kinda wonder if the LC is going to come in for NR aswell, since the LC is proprietary it might need it's own submission.

I'll dump my credit card if we get a chance at the L with the SUSAT

I doubt they set any aside, they might be manufacturing more and more pieces in house like the CSA vz 58 which started with parts kits and as the parts supply dried up transitioned to new manufactured.

Aren't the Marcolmar guns re-welded parts kits/scrap...? Would be nice to have something that isn't butchered up to meet the retarded US import regulations, but I guess beggars can't be choosers...

I bet the arcees are going to wait until the libs win their election, introduce their semi ban, and then say no lol gonna be banned anyway.

They are not. Marcolmar's quality standard is pretty high, so much so that they invested in making new polymer furniture (not cheap) since the surplus furniture had too many cosmetic issues. Think of Marcolmar's Cetme Ls as more of refurbished rifles, rather than a parts kit build.
