The countdown begins!

Thomas, for what it's worth, count my vote for retaining the current spec chamber. As for the mag issue, I suspect for longevity and durability, the Butler Creek steel lip mags are best starting point. The built in ejector can't help but benefit the rifle.

Question???

Will the Rhineland R22 that are ordered to Canada be the regular barrel version or the bull barrel?? Is this something that people will change by themselves?? Why isn't there any reference to the heavy barrel version on Rhinelands site??

We have just finished the testing on the 2nd generation of the R22. These work with Ramline single stackers, eagle and BC mags when usuing good ammo like Federal GameShock ammo. This is what we will be shipping to Canada.

As for the 22WMR and 17HMR, I do not think we will see these in the R22 but you never know.

What ever happened to these rifles? Did they come in yet? :(

Gee, didn't you get the call?

The export permit hasn't been processed, and the company has been reworking the gun to perform better with a wider range of mags and ammo.

The export permit is CURRENTLY with the US State Dept BEING processed while our guns are being manufactured...

Don't worry, I'll post something as soon as we are ready to recieve...

On teh good news front, I have already recieved my new FRT# for these rifles so hopefully there will be little delay once I get theses in.

Ok its June 29th, any news yet?

Yes as a matter of fact we heard that the export cert was declined due to a clerical error, and we are restarting the paperwork. Once again, WHEN they come in, we WILL ANNOUNCE it.

Well, I for one hope that paperwork comes through soon. After this weekend we will have the second generation rifles just about ready to go for Canada. These have all the bugs worked out and really shoot well.

What to expect,
All aftermarket triggers/hammers will finally fit in the trigger housing.

So far all ammo tested, functions. This includes all remington, winchester, federal, CCI and Agulia including SSS and finially Eley. I normally stay away fom PMC.

So far, as long as the magazines are in good order all of them are working, except the Ramline 30,50 rounders. Different mags like different ammo, so you will have to do some testing.

Also a warning, If you are using scopes with 40mm objectives you must use high rings with at least 1 1/8 hight to them. We like and get many compliments from the Tactical Prescision TSR brand, available from Brownells.

Thom,

Thanks for the update. I'd also like to thank you for sticking with this project and continuing to fine tune it. Many in your place would have been happy to sell the guns and let the consumer fine tune it. Taking the time to listen to the end users and upgrade your product based on their input is refreshing.

I must be insane. The first guns haven't been shipped and I'm thinking about buying a second
