The countdown begins!

I doubt that a 22lr would be effective against a coon at 200m.

yeah, coons seem about as tough as a house cat. It all depends what kind of velocities you get out of that barrel. On another board i frequent, a dude shot and killed a P dog at 670 yards with a 22 hornet. I know it has more powder than a 22lr, but 670yrds is a heck of alot farther too

Sorry guys, the 17m2 will only fit in the Ruger factory mags and the 50 round drum mag and those need to be modified a little. The reason is the bullet tip is much smaller in diameter and this causes the rounds to lodge deep in the bannana style mags.

Other than that the 17m2 is a very good round and never jams, very accurate too.

Paperwork?

Is this a new process? seems like a lame reason (not a dig at TSE) - I am sure TSE knows how fill out paperwork. right? Are there mystery forms that all of a sudden need to be filled out? :D

Or does this have to do with submission to the gov for a approval ? the wording has to be right or the product is rejected for import. - this is what I am thinking.

I am not irritated by this product being "late" - I gotta save some new cash for it anyhow, however I am gaining interest in the process, why does this rifle elude us...

Anyone have an idea what the specific reason could be?

The specific reason was that the exporter made a mistake on a form (transpossed digits). US Customs had no sense of humour, and held on to the shipment till they were happy. However, guess what? After a long relaxing holiday in Sweet Grass MT, the guns have decided to migrate north. They all sport stylish lime green US customs tape, and look better than ever.

I'll have the guns in the system by end of day tomorrow, and will begin transfers Saturday. We will be calling for contact info, or if you prefer call us with it. This applies only to those who have given us a CC number already.

For those in the TO area there will be a gun at the Target Sports event.

Perfect! I'm on dayshift next week. Figure the wife will believe I'm working overtime if I head out after work and come home after dark ???

Just got a call this morning, it's in and they're shipping to me first of next week(22 cal). Canadian Distributor is TSE in Calgary. If you want one, phone to be placed on the waiting list, otherwise you might not get one.

Don't know status of .17 cal. Price is $600 + taxes and includes 2 butler creek 25 round mag's, supposedly. I'll wait till I get it and send an update. Stainless is no longer made or not available in Canada, only the blued/black version.

AFAIK, they have more names on the list than guns on hand, but that meand nothing until the CC's and cash come out. Call up and ask. As for the next order, I believe JR mentioned a Jan-Feb order.
