The Cure to Midlife Crisis: Reject polymer.

Sometimes you need a plastic handgun. :dancingbanana:

I keep looking at those Grand Power ones, for a second venture into plastic. I'm just not sure that I want to spend the bucks on the only interesting looking one of the line (the most expensive, natch)

Otherwise, like the OP, Colt + 1911 = love

1911s float my boat the most but I won't unload my polymers. Nice to have more of the flavours than less! Congrats on a really nice .45 ACP.

Change of grips to Ivory coloured G10 by VZ, with Colt Medallions that Mr. Burton inlayed for me.
The leather is Alessi CQC/S with double Magazine pouch, from when Lou Alessi was still alive.

I finally got around to shooting this on a range session with Cyanide Ride. The gun shoots like a dream and the best part is that it's everything TDC hates:

1. Obsolete platform over 100 years old.
2. Heavy.
3. Holds only 7 rounds of a caliber that according to current evidence is not superior to 9mm
4. Customized, meaning I had to spend a hideous amount of money that could have been used to buy multiple Glocks and ammo.
5. SAO trigger with thumb safety, rather than Glock safe-action
6. Recoils more than 9mm (I have to be honest, not by much)

I realized I hadn't shot any .45 ACP for over 12 years!!!! I forgot how big the holes are compared to 9mm.

You don't want to spend any bucks, on any Grand Power, trust me.
