Funny thing, my '03 Ford is still going strong and with 242,000 kms on it. Has a 5.4 Triton with the HP chip in it. It has been the best vehicle I have ever owned to date. They are all good if they are maintained properly. I have had few large or major repairs. In fact aside from normal wear and tear such as brakes or tires I have only had one repair of any amount and that was $1700 for spark plugs, two new manifolds, fuel injector flush and a safety here in SK one month ago. Not bad for an 11 year old truck.

At risk of derailing the thread, have had excellent luck with Fords I haven't treated well myself (edited down from a long history of trucks likely only interesting to me!).

How are your sports cars doing the move Doug? We're moving too and this gal's about to embark on a 1,000km road trip to it's new home. Hope to make record time.

Yep and a "honey-do" list about 17 pages long, plus guns I haven't built yet and calibers I haven't tried yet and critters I haven't shot yet..........maybe I could narrate one when I'm 80ish, ya'll can feel free to stop over with a tape recorder and a bottle of GOOD scotch, or a few bottles of GOOD chianti.............I may be coerced into divulging some of my tales.

I have just recently finished an honest to God real trophy room, 32 X 50 with a 20 ft ceiling, wet bar and wine cellar.................I'm hoping this is my retirement home and no more moving will be necessary..........

I'll see what I can do BUM, it's dead empty right now so it would be a good time for "BEFORE" pics, just have baseboards left but I'm not happy with the floor yet so we'll have to see what can be done.

And here we were coming to the Yukon in a couple weeks to see your trophies! Guess we'll have to settle for just hunting now. Usually hit the Kootenays once a year...hope the invitation still stands to see your collection!

Hope the move goes well. I have family in Creston and spent my summers there during my childhood. Pretty darn nice area! I have dreams about a spirited drive north from Creston to Crawford Bay early in the morning before the big fat RVs ruin it.

I have done that a couple times in the past 2 weeks in my Ferrari, but later in the day, I just love getting an opening and then blowing by them in second at about 6500 rpm...........
