For reloaders of 9mm - I just bought one of these waiting for it arrive in the mail (damn excited too). Been reloading 9mm for about 3 years now and 3.8 titegroup (+/- .1) has been beautiful for me in my poly pistols. I'm going to start with that load cuz I have lots.
However, I was thinking this thing should be able to handle max load? What say you more experienced folk?
I am reading 115 to 147 all work well in terms of function, but what about practical accuracy? My guess is the heavier the bullet the more accurate it will be. Has anyone done some testing at various yardages with various bullet weights and recorded their findings? Care to share?
This little shooter looks like a lot of fun and something my son will like as well. I'd like to say I bought it cuz I know he'll think it's cool looking. But I bought it for myself. Because it's pretty cool looking![]()
I use 4.1gr of TG under 124gr or 4.5gr under a 115gr. Both loads run all my 9mm's. Don't worry about maxing it out, you're throwing one of the least aerodynamic lumps of lead out of the muzzle, you're bleeding velocity so fast that an extra 50fps isn't worth worrying about.
If you're loads cycle it cleanly just stick to it. It wouldn't hurt to bump up the powder charge if you felt like it but I doubt you'll see enough difference to be worth the effort.
Keep in mind, the more powder you use the more expensive it is to shoot and the more wear and tear there is on the rifle. If you want to mess with your load I would treat it like any other rifle and load for accuracy instead of max velocity.
im curious if any of you have found a good pouch for the 33 rd mags? they fit the sterling pouch nice but the flaps are a bit long would like to find something better

Took mine out for the first time today. Ran fine with Barnul 9mm.
I also swapped out the Aramspec SRS out of my AR i brought with me and with the Armaspec in the FX9 I couldn't get the charging handle or bolt to go back. Has anyone tried a non standard spring/buffer setup in theirs?
Just leave it stock, these are not converted AR's, the entire receiver is shorter which will throw off specs for any aftermarket parts you try to swap out internally other than the trigger and buffer spring. One of the other guys learned the hard way not to mess with it when he installed a shorter buffer and broke something off the bolt. I'm waiting for mine to show up so I can see what he broke as it doesn't sound like it's the same as my 9mm AR bolt.
Thanks for the info. Probably a good thing the charging handle didn't go back, swapped back to the stock spring and buffer right away, glad I didn't chance breaking anything. At least now I won't spend the money on a J&P silent capture spring or the Gissele 42 or some other fancy non stock buffer spring.
Any lefty’s out there with these? Just wondering if someone has made a type of blowback deflector to keep gasses and powder residue from peppering your face
I love the FX-9 otherwise

Took mine for a test drive. Works great with Glock brand mags and ETS magazines not so much with the magpul ones. My buttocks is sloppy. Anyone else with that issue.
Are you on the right forum? My buttocks is fine, lol.
You mean the plastic stock is sloppy on the buffer tube? I don't know if they used commercial or milspec buffer tube but figure out which one it is and replace it with a better aftermarket one if it bothers you. Not going to make it shoot any better but if it makes you like it better it's worth the money I guess.
Tracking shows mine will be here Monday, if no one beats me to it I'll let you know which it is then.
I'm hoping it's milspec, I've got spares of those![]()
