A couple recent additions.
First, a nice matching 1907-15 St. Etienne with 1907-15 bayonet. This is a late 1917 gun with an early Mle 1916 receiver used in original production of the 1907-15 model because the magazine parts for the Mle 1916 rifle were not available in sufficient quantities at the time. This variation is documented on Forgotten Weapons and in Ian's book. I was pretty pleased to get this one. Does have N chamber, so left French service fairly late in the game. Still has its original Ste Etienne 1917 dated roundel.
Next up is a Chatellerault Mousqueton D'artillerie Mle 1892-16 with the 1932 upgrades all done (N chamber, A sights, filled in cleaning rod channel). This one likely served in the French army in ww2 (and obviously ww1). Has its correct Mle 1892 saber bayonet. Another cool rifle I wish could talk!
