It must be that time of year because I've been working on cases, too. Still held up pending locating the proper latch for the one I started earlier. Today had me making new straps for the one below. I put a leg of mutton case on top for perspective. I bought it for the Parker shown in the second image, but the gun is just a little long. A full length case really is not that practical for a shotgun, anyway. Maybe for my Mannlicher Schoenauer with a compartment for QR scope and other accessories? From the way the internal straps were set up originally I suspect it was for 2 long guns each in soft cases.
I bought an even larger canvas and leather gun steamer trunk but that's for another day.
(No, I did not stage the photo with the flowers and cherry tomatoes! That stuff was on the dining room table when I moved the case there to take advantage of better light. C'mon now)
