Thats a Browning factory Renaissance pattern engraving with gold plating. Nothing too fancy or expensive. Cheaper then most non-engraved high end guns. I expected something fancier (and more gaudy) from a billionaire dictator. At least Sadam went all up-to-date and tactical with a Glock 18.

Yes a NATO strike did hit a pro Gaddafi envoy, but it is unclear if it actually hit him.
There are conflicting reports on his cause of death. When he was captured, he was still alive. Some reports states he died of his wounds right after his capture. But there are also reports stating somebody shot him within the crowd when there was a sudden fire fight that broke out right after his capture.
