lever action rifles are said to have one the west but nowadays barely anyone shoots lever repeaters anymore. Are the days of the lever action over?
Hard pressed to say what caliber has taken more "local" deer over the last 50 years...30-30, or .303.
They are no longer what they "were"...The '94 was a very affordable, practical, light, etc. rifle for decades. Those that have 'em still hunt with them, or "collected" them. When I was a young'un, every gas station/corner store had 30-30 ammo.
From a milsurpy standpoint, they were certainly revolutionary.
I dont know where you get your info but I know all kinds of guys that use lever guns. There has to be at least 5 in my hunt camp.
