The JR Carbine Thread

The upgrade they sent me for my .40 JR is a buffer tube extension, spring, and buffer, a white(compared to the old back) bumper and disk.
Interesting.

Also a feed ramp, mine had none but did have the cut out for this one to screw into.

They also sent me a new charging handle and a screw for it that I stripped.

I put 50rds through my .40, winchester 180grs factory stuff, and had no issues.

Really cold in the range, no heat. Until the rifle warmed up, there were a few stovepipes - then once it got warm it ran clean. The gray haired dude is my buddy who wanted to shoot today, he loved the JRC in 40 S&W. It has Magpul furniture on it (AFG, CTR, forget what grip model - all in FDE) and a Vortex Strikefire RDS. The long 10/22rd Glock mags are awesome, well worth the price I paid through IRG. I got the accessories from JR (takedown tool, forend) but haven't opened the box yet.

Wish my eyes weren't so f@cked up, that red dot looks like a blotchy half moon to me but as a proper dot to him. Damned astigmatism. Still shot great, using a RDS is just easier than irons for me.

We were using 165g Blazer Brass ammo. 180g might be a better fit for the JR, will have to buy some and see which is better.

Sorry for the sh!tty phone pics, the overhead florescent seems to mess with the phone's exposure and focus.

Where is everyone getting their flash hiders/suppressors for the 9mm? I just picked one up and would love to start getting it tac'd up. So far I have Troy Battle sights that I got for 40% off (thank you Boxing day sales). Feel free to PM me

Thanks in advance,

J

My barrel isn't threaded, so a flash hider/fake suppressor won't be happening. Unsure I'd want the barrel any longer than it is right now anyway.

Hmm... never tossed it on the scale. Thinwall aluminum tubing, two end caps, tensioner with set screw...6 ounces? It it quite light. I also can't find it on hical's webpage anymore, not sure if it's just out of stock or if they're not carrying them anymore.

anyone in the Saskatoon area that has a JR Carbine in 45acp? anyone got a few Glock mags, my JR is acting up, its dpwn to the mags of which I have 3, would like to try a couple more at least and see how mine work in a different gun, anyone out there willing to help, I have ammo and a place to shoot on the east side

i was looking at the Breacher style one but with Canada's dollar doing so poorly I didn't want to order one direct from there if they were available up here somewhere. Might just have to suck it up and order that one from JRC

Very nice rifle I like the green look. Whats that one called again? I bought the Desert Digital Camo one in 9mm and I absolutely love these rifles, very glad i bought it. I put the red dot Vortex Sparc on mine and a cheap muzzle break. I like your breacher style better. Nice Rifle enjoy!

Its called "reaper" camp if you look closely all that green is zombies and biohazard symbols.. and yes I like the breacher muzzle break I ordered that and the takedown/castlenut wrench from jr..
