:agree: I notice this happens in most rifle threads that aren't about Cooper or Weatherby. You will be waiting a while for the facts from him.

Just got off the phone with a friend of mine, he's got a cooper 308 win that wont shoot any better than 1 3/4" groups. He said, he shot 32 rounds through it, some factory and some reloads. He's sending the rifle back. I'll get more details and post them. This guy shoots alot, so its not him. Later,LOL.

And to get this back on topic, here is a picture of Archie and some relative out hunting, wearing the Ontario required "hunter" orange, holding his old Krylon'd Montana.
Beautiful day and all......

Rem338Win....
Back in about 84, I was stationed with the Army in Gagetown NB, and I ordered 2 from Cabela's..They were expensive even back then...but great optics. Our Army sniper rifles had 6X Kahles mounted..and we shot to 800m so I figured it would be a good scope. It has been one of my favorites..and has with stood many hunting seasons. Every now and then one pops up on Ebay...Steiner has again started to manufacture scopes..but Military Sniper scopes, none for sporting. The new ones run about 2800.00 USD..Ouch..

In '84 you bought that? Well I am SOL then I guess.
Thanks for the update on it though!

Here's something you might like Archie....My Father (Track) And I had a 270wsm kimber montana that got all done up snow camo by Rocky mountain rifles.

Even though the rifle was'nt overly accurate and on occasion had some feeding issue's I still liked the firearm.I actually love the safety's on the kimber rifles.

I have great memories deer hunting in 2007 and 2008 with that rifle when I shot 4 whitetail bucks with the kimber in both alberta and saskatchewan. However she hit the yellow brick road last year when I made room for the new cooper custom classic.:D

I cant remember what animals Track has killed with the kimber? but I assure you that we know what its like to hunt with a kimber Rifle............

I like the Montana for sure WT Junky.

That target, judging by the other group beside it looks like a typical CGN "too good to be true" group ;)

Archie, have any groups to show from your Kimber? Better yet, do you and your nonsence vocabulary friends have any photo's of mature deer that were harvested by means of tracking?

If I had a Cooper or a Weatherby would I have even half a chance at harvesting a deer that impressive? Those are god-like!, and that's no nonsence!
I've only ever seen animals like that on a post-card. I'd give my left nut to even help you gut a beast like that!
I'd rub my hands on the metatarsal glands and never wash them as long as I lived!
Congrats! Where can I buy a copy of your hunting video?
Seriously though, I sincerely must say those are amazing trophy grade animals. Makes this years four-point look like a fawn, absolutely amazing, stunning, I'm at a loss for words.
Truth be told I'm extremely jealous. Curse ya for being so damn successful! I'm ashamed I even posted my horrible one-inch group.
Thanks for sharing!

I/we "don't" and "never" will measure success because of a kill. To me, success is measured different ways from different people, I/we measure a hunting success is to have a safe and enjoyable hunt. The kill is only a micro second memory................the hunt prior to and after the kill is the best or memories and success. Many years I hung my tags on the Christimas tree. We hunt to hunt. Now if you like big bucks, here are only a few of mine.

What the #### does big AB and SK whitetails have to do with groups you old fool? I've been sticking up for you and joking around with you for a couple weeks now, but if you want to whine like that when I make one comment on groups, then up your ass old man.

In fact I'm heading out today to shoot my Kimber, I stopped in at the spot I shoot at this morning with it, but there were some rednecks shooting clays.

Take your trophy WT's and your ugly, clumsy Coopers and......

You forget to put your contacts in this mornin there fella? You have flyers and sighters there, clearly called and labelled.

I see a 3 shot 1/2ish inch group with a pulled 4th shot, and then a five shot-dime sized group....we all do it, shoot till we get a nice group, take a photo and say "oh man my gun shoots like this all day every day!!". Calling a flyer doesnt mean sweet #### all.

Some folks get so horny over such stupid things (like 1/2" accuracy) in a hunting rifle

I see you're vocabulary could use some freshening up...if you were so inclined. :)

Have a good one Track, hope you enjoy your Coopers, Bee's, etc.
