put it back in original stock, fixed the crack maybe and havnt shot it... took to the stock finish an took the shine off it but didnt get around to rubbing sme darker oil on it.
now... serious Question.... Are these now somewhat a Rarity thats at time often wanted, esp being in Aus, mostly 7600s around the traps for deer hound hunting, couple Rems about
As a rarity Yes I would say they are.
I check the 3 gs near me and unless i missed one ... in the last 15 years have not seen a 35 Whelen
check CGN almost every day and not seen one for sale ... yes maybe showing off .. but not for sale
I have never seen one in person at my gun club
I bought some 30-06 brass 5 years or so ago from a brass dealer found 1 35 whelen ... found a dozen or so 270
I am working on a 35 whelen now .. contacted several gun smiths none of them had a reamer
Plan on shooting 230g cast loads with it

and plan on shooting it lots this summer
different people will find different stuff at there lgs but bigest animal around is Moose for me then bear then deer and all of them can be dropped by the 30-30 or 308
and I do not think any manufacture has a current rifle on the books in 35 whelen for 2021
Just like 358 winchester, I think only Browning makes one and the blr in 358win I see maybe 4 or 5 a year up for sale passed on the last buba one i saw
just checked online
