That 350 is gorgeous...... One of your projects?
 
It was put together before I started doing my own work.
It started life as a m7 in 7saum, Bevan made me the tube and Rembo screwed it on - it was to pay homage to the 660 I had earlier.

I have a set of Ruger factory sights and barrel band stud in bright stainless... and also a set of NECG Masterpiece Banded sights and Classic barrel band swivel.. not sure which way I will go yet... but probably classic Ruger.

Keep us posted....... I am interested in building something similar...... So far, from my research, lack of lightweight options for aftermarket parts has frustrated me.....

Like you, a 7 pound rifle in a non compact rifle would interest me.... Where did you find he stock?.... I didn't even get that far......

I assume the fact that an M77 action itself is not lightweight keeps the options down.....

I wasn't looking for lightweight accessory options, that is not what I am going for, so I can't help there. The stock is a McMillan MKII Hunter. The rifle is one of three M77 MKII stainless rifles that I have here... that is up in the air as yet... I am looking to have this one up and running for fall 2017, so I have some time.

Thanks..... Will look into the McMillan...... I actually saw some stuff about it, mostly on the Ruger forum...... But when I went to their site I couldn't actually find the stock......

I am in no rush either...... Have nothing in full size and leightweight though.... Haven't even decided on cartridge, just know I want something in SA.......

"Kevlar" was an improperly used term intended to be generic... as in ... whatever McMillan's aramyd matrix fiber/resin is...
