Since I started shooting my 2 9.3's I haven't touched my 35....

Since I started hunting with various 9.3X62s, I don't even own a 35 rifle any longer.

Loads from 232 grains at 2800+ fps to 325s at over 2300, are enough for anything that walks on the planet. The 290 gr Matrix at over 2500 shoots as flat as the 30-06, good enough for certain hits out to 300 meters. Just take one to a silhouette range and see.

Having said that, the 35s are great cartridges, which I have owned and used in 35 Rem to 358 Norma Mag successfully. Currently wringing out a Vanguard S2 in 375 H&H with 260 gr Partitions and 4350 at a sedate 2700. The rifle weighs a tad under nine pounds with a Leupold 4X Lightweight in Weaver quick-detachable rings, shoots very well, and is as easy on the shoulder as factory 9.3 loads in a seven pound rifle.

Just take your pick. Mediums are mighty fine big game rifles, and lots of fun to shoot.

Crappier that aquiring the funds is generally anything but fun. It sort of balances out.

I think we get the drift..........A friend once said to me he wished he had back every dollar he spent in a bar...........I responded that I wished I had back every minute I'd spent there, because I could always make more money, but the time was forever squandered.
