The Modern Hunter Rifle UPDATED December 10 2015

Rick, Christmas is in a few days and I know you and your team have been working very hard to get these rifles done asap, so I want to wish you guys a Merry Christmas and happy holidays. Eat, drink any be merry. Then get back to work :) . I can't wait for my MH when it's done. See you in the new year.

x2.

This Rifle is amazing looking. I cant wait to fondle it in the not to distant future.

I too would love to see a .223/5.56 version someday, but can appreciate the Modern Hunter in its current original design. I would love to sport one as a precision .308, and the other as a my NR "version" of an AR since I live so far away from a range.

Great job Rick and associates! Have a Merry Christmas and an Awesome New Year!

I did fondle it. Went to the shop to get a new lower on the AR.
AFter getting a hand on a few different modern hunters I've decided this is a MUST HAVE.
Anyone on the fence, just stay there so I can get the funds together before you. Lol

Also curious as to whether or not this rail will fit the Modern Hunter. DD says
it is important to note that this rail system is designed to line up perfectly with upper receivers which have a top rail that is 1.325” from the bore’s centerline

... Using specifically engineered barrel nuts, the Daniel Defense 7.62 Lite Rail is compatible with the Armalite AR10, Rock River Arms LAR-8, and DPMS LR-308 rifles...

The head of the RCMP lab has personally promised me early January.

Frankly I do not see how a change in legal status could occur simply as apart from some cosmetic changes we have stayed 100% true to the original prototype in so far as operating system, internal dimensions and parts employed. In fact all the parts that were used for the prototype are in the production model the RCMP currently has to examine.

My understanding is that this has taken longer than predicted by the lab due to some significant lobbying efforts from 1 or 2 individuals that are trying their hardest to get our rifle deemed an AR10 variant, so as to make it restricted. Apparently these individuals have some agenda of their own to deprive the Canadian gun culture of this rifle.
I wonder if maybe, just maybe they are also the same CGN members that have seemed to have a hard on to thwart this project from the inception?

Well. Those people aren't getting added to my CGN friends list.

I for one want to start seeing the ATRS MH on store shelves very soon.

That is just terrible to hear.
We, (our firearms community) are our own worst enemy sometimes.

Well I seriously hope that those two individuals are not firearms owner or worst in the firearms business, if so I wish them all the worst. The only worst thing then a uninformed misguided personne trying to ban a firearm is one douing so out of greed, spite or jealousy!

This is enough. The mod has clipped away a bunch of posts earlier in the evening, and I am starting to hand down infractions to people who won't let this go. Personal issue should be left off the forum, anywhere of the forum.

Until I read that they might be CGN members I thought the COLON (COaLition for cONtrol) had reared its ugly head again! This' actually worse if there are gun owners who are trying to wreck this for everyone.

What a shame... It is so sad that every society, no matter how educated or evolved, have members that can't keep up with the rest and instead of trying to learn and understand, they pull everybody down... Best solution is to identify and cut them lose.

Well then can't a thousand of us lobby to keep it from getting that status?
