The most "Anti-Hunting" Province??

Hopefully you're being intentionally obtuse.

I just don't think rivers determine relative location, about as central as you can get east/west no? What am I missing here?

I live in exact middle of the southern half of 52, which is about as central as you can get. Therefore everything west of me is west, and everything east of me is east. Haha.

I've been a member of a major gun range east of Toronto for about 25 years. It now has over 1000 members about 1/2 of whom are hunters of one kind or another. The only ones I've met who are looking for a place to hunt are those who are relatively new to the game and have no friends outside the Big City. They need to make some friends by not showing up at the range with firearms that look like they want to start a war!

What? Care to elaborate on what you mean here?
Is my sarcasm detector broken?

107. There's nothing left in 86!

93 is still the best piece of ground in the country. Matter of fact you could cut off everything south of 52 and sell it to america and vastly improve the whole situation.

94 is worth saving as well. I do agree with selling off everything south of 52, as long as we don't have any sort of trade agreements or affiliation with whoever buys it.

Here are a couple pics of one of my all time favorite hunting rifles what you think is is a hunting rifle or is it designed for war?

Me and my boys (5 and 11), took care of deboning the meat from my two whitetails this year...... We didn't need a high fence, and we didn't need big ass antiers or anything of the like to fill the freezer, although I have no issue with waiting out a trophy..... If that is your gig, ...... I track a trophy every year, but live by the "don't pass up on day two what you wouldn't shoot on day 14" rule.......

I got 90 pounds of sausage, 20 pounds of stewing meat, 5 small roasts and 7 backstrap meals for the three of us out of the deal...... Plus I got to reaffirm my boy's work (they help me along the way).....

If you're on the NU side of the border there is still caribou, moose and muskox.

I tell you one thing...20 bites.

Superbrad, how many deer are made into those sausage and how many pounds of deer meat is that? I admire that you eat what you shoot, that should be the law as far as I'm concerned regarding any kind of killing...including predators, unless you have a legitimate reason to kill such as preservation of life or livelihood. There are far too many losers that just drive around rural areas blasting coyotes and whatever they want simply because they feel like it.

The 4x4 whitetail I shot this year weighed 205 pounds and yielded 95 pounds of meat...an average deer for Saskatchewan. He was about 120 inches B&C, a typical 3.5 year old that has no trophy potential antler wise but makes a great meat buck by most standards. Nearly a 46% ratio of meat to body mass...about what can be expected in a mature deer. I had to drag him through hilly terrain, 8 inches of snow covered long grass and 1.5 miles to get him out while carrying 20 pounds of gear. Took me 3 hours...so ya I worked pretty hard for him. I will have some pics once photobucket lets me upload and post. Any better pic sharing sites?

My 2015 hunting season in Saskatchewan is as follows, and this year was about tied for the least game I have seen in the last 6 seasons:

15 total hunting trips starting from Sept. 25-Nov 30 including bow, muzzleloader and rifle
2211 km travelled
87 hrs 35 min combined driving + hunting (65 hrs actually in the field)
$221.10 in fuel

Wolverine PFRA 4 trips (where I shot the deer)
Montrose PFRA 1 trip
Asquith PFRA 1 trip
Aberdeen PFRA 1 trip
Ducks Unlimited 1 trip
Fish and Wildlife Development Land 6 trips, once each

Mule Deer: 10 does, 5 fawns, 6 bucks (2 mature 5x5)

White Tail: 10 does, 4 fawns, 7 bucks (2 mature; 5x5 and 4x4 which I shot)

Moose: 2 cows, 4 calfs, 1 mature bull 40 inch spread Elk: 7 cows Ruffed grouse: 5 Sharp tailed grouse: 3 Coyote: 1

Conservation officers: Zero

2015 was a very poor year for upland game and predators from what I have seen from the places I was. As you can tell, I had many opportunities to shoot game, however, mature bucks are what I'm after. I would have liked to see a higher buck to doe ratio and more does with multiple fawns. Almost all the animals I saw this year would have been excellent kill shots had I not passed on them. Do you guys consider that a lot of game? I find those game numbers very poor.

Interesting..... Your travel was less than a single timberwolf trip I took last year and yet you feel you need to high fence everything.....

The sausage you see is 90 pounds.... 20 percent pork mix..... It came from a 200 pound 3x3 as you call them..... 6 pointer in my world...... The rest came from that deer and a "4x4" I took at my camp...... Which I shared amongst the guys......

Umchorn2.... (Not sure, is there an umchorn1?)..... Anyways....

You will never make me get your point.... I hunt my deer and other game in their natural habitat...... I do things some others wouldn't, I bait, I out up trail cams etc......

It is not up to me to judge how others hunt, I have made many good friends on CGN with this philosophy.... (Took time time to learn)..... There are things I don't do...... I don't road hunt, I don't coral my prey and I don't pick and chose my deer..... But some do....

When I bought my camp, it was due to an unfortunate situation..... The owner, my former boss and a good friend passed away and I was a camp member thanks to him...... The camp came up for sale, and the members were worried about the exit year's hunt..... But the "lead member" was the executor.... Nobody had the cash to pony up and buy the camp except me and everyone was worried about it.....

They hunt in a way I don't typically..... They do drives and push brush..... I prefer still and stalking..... The agreement was simple, the camp is mine and I have 10 acres there that never gets pushed...... After first watch is done, I met them at the gate, and guess who is one of the doggers?.....

I have two buildings on the property, one of them is mine and the other is the "hunt camp" which houses 8 bunks..... We all have fun and get to hunt......
