Wicked Ram Uber! Well done guys. Thanks for sharing the story and pictures. Great way to keep the thread going.
We leave for sheep opener next week. Can’t wait!
Haha. It was successful! How did the hunt go? Post up!!!![]()

Well... that is totally awesome! Congrats.Haha. It was successful!
Im so grateful. I finally took a Bighorn Ram, but it was near last light, and ran into the wee hours by the time we got it packed back to camp. So not many pictures. We had watched the band of 4 rams off and on for most of the day. We’d seen other rams thru the week, none as long as him, and we only had one full day left to hunt… 20 mins of legal shooting light left, I decided to take this one.
There is no sweeter meat than sheep backstrap around the fire at 0300! Especially when you’re sharing it with good friends, who helped make it all happen. View attachment 1045411View attachment 1045412

I think I like that idea to skip a year after a successful one, I wish they would go that route up here, it is a ####ing zoo in the mountains on the first weekendThanks Gents! I certainly owe a debt of gratitude to my friends (including an CGNer who wasn’t on that hunt) and hunting partners.
Cannot wait for next year! We have to skip a year after killing a ram in AB, but it’ll be a new kind of fun being the guide/wrangler.
