The MPX 9mm Now In 4.5"-8"-16"

I'm not knocking CZ, but they don't make Sig Quality firearms so its hard to compare. You aren't even comparing apples to apples here, one is Plastic/Nylon, the other is machined Aluminum. If Sig wanted to add sights, they would make Sig quality sights and add another $200 to the price.

I rather CZ remove the plastic sights and take $50 off the price.

Sights are a personal preference. Not everyone likes the same style. Why force someone to pay for them, then have them in your parts bin.

If it was being offered with sights in the Gen 1 MPX, the cost of the sights I'm sure have already been factored in. Not sure where you saw that the sights on the CZ are plastic but they are in fact steel from what I have read.

It looks like the new production US models don't have sights either.

I am getting concerned, the un marking BS is only a few weeks away. I hope I didn't make a mistake buying from a "Legit Canadian Dealer through MDC" instead of going the other route and guaranteeing myself an unmarked MPX this month. It is imperative that these get into Canada before June 1 and if they do not, how does this effect the pre order prices?

So if something out of their control should occur they should reimburse you for your perceived loss? You still have the benefit of warranty coverage in Canada as well as supporting the people who brought this firearm in to the CFO for approval. You knew [or should've known] the risk going in when you put your deposit down.

I'm curious as to the reasoning here… After all if the importer has to apply additional markings it will be at their cost. I understand not wanting the UN marking, but really what can you or MDC do?

WTF, did I say I wanted to be reimbursed for anything, go read it again and comprehend this time.

I was asking simple questions that MDC should be answering, not you.

Well, I tried to be polite with my first response, but WTF right back at you. 'It is imperative that these get into Canada before June 1 and if they do not, how does this affect the pre order prices?' I'm quite confident that you're not asking them to raise the price if they arrive with UN markings, correct? So, you're asking for a discount based on something completely out of their control. Again, their costs go up, not down if they have to apply the markings (which none of us want to see happen or think will be useful at all) so again - why should they apply a further discount for something that's out of their control?

I know the other mall ninja's will make fun of you for these nasty markings which may affect your ability to do tacti-cool poses in your mother's basement, but you'll live. I'm confident function will be unaffected by these markings which will be applied in as unobtrusive a fashion as possible should they be needed; I know you've got the strength and ability to reach over these engravings and still operate the firearm.

Couple of things you seem to be unclear on. Internet forum's elicit responses from all users who may have relevant info. If you want a private conversation with MDC, send them an email. If you don't know how, put another post here and I'll send you a PM. My response was just as reasonable as your question (which, I have to admit is not #$@$!@$ very). Sometimes, people on forums respond as they have useful information or with a response that vendors would like to give, but it is not good business practice to do so. In this case, the response is 'are you @!$!@$@#$ kidding me?' Additionally, since you had concerns about my reading comprehension, I thought I'd let you know that

refers to things like food, water, shelter, freedom; not superficial markings (which again, I also oppose but remains outside of MDC's control).

Have a nice day, Nancy.

Have a nice day, Nancy.

To be fair I would be incredibly peeved if I was sold on these coming in before UN marking and subsequently missed out on the 'grey market one' only to find out that MD couldn't deliver on time which would result in the marking of my order.

These markings may not be of any care to you, but to collectors, they mean alot. Whose to say your opinion on the issue is the only one that matters?

You are free to respond all you want, but you are just some random guy on the web expressing his uninformed opinions and taking my words out of context in a dealers forum. Unless you are associated with MDC you have zero to add.

Then you get yourself in a knot and start getting offended because I called you out clearly stating I did not ask to be reimbursed and to reread my post, but this time with some comprehension. Then as you have shown in your reply you lower yourself to name calling, referencing out of date internet terms and making assumptions about me and for some insane reason thinking it would be a good idea for you to add definitions of words. And still you respond with the reimbursement BS, and you come full circle, again.....Congratulations.....

It might be more imperative that you don't worry so much about the minutia of other peoples words, maybe I over used the word imperative. But you went full on for no reason at all.

Have a nice day, Nancy.

And who is "Nancy" is she available, and is she hot?

Still would be nice to know how MDC is going to handle the engraving after June 1? And yes I have sent emails...No response after two weeks.

I hear you and fair enough. I would be annoyed too. My question was genuine though. What should MDC do about it? I never said my opinion is the only one that matter's, but this is a forum - a place for the exchange of ideas and opinions. As I said, my question to him was just as valid as his to MDC.

Close! We're all random guys on the internet expressing uniformed opinions under assumed aliases. You chose to be insulting in your response, so you get what you give. Here's another one for you.

a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

If you don't want to exchange ideas, keep it to a private venue like email, snail mail, or the telephone. On a forum, people are free to express their opinion - in fact that what its for!

WTF is a respectful response? You started the cursing, you got a response in kind. My apologies for not being up to date on my internet terms. The definitions were added to explain my response as you stated I didn't comprehend your question. Just so we're clear BTW, I did not use the word reimbursement in my response at 9am.

It might be more imperative that you don't worry so much about the minutia of other peoples words, maybe I over used the word imperative. But you went full on for no reason at all.

Actually, I went 'full on' because you got upset someone dared question you for a question you posted on a public forum. I was trying to be circumspect in my initial response as I was wondering if there was more to the story or something I was missing. But, like I said, you got all bent out of shape and suggested I didn't comprehend your question

Sorry to hear you haven't got any info back. Rather than bicker back and forth about who said what, why don't you say what you think they should do and answer my initial question. What do you think would be fair and why should they incur additional expense and adjust their pre-sale price?

I just wanted to get some information from MDC, it has been frustrating. My retailers I have spoken with have very vague information. I would hope MDC would have updated information at this point and have engraving in place and be able to give customers a lead time estimate if these MPX's arrive late and have to be engraved and if the pre sale price is going to increase or if they have taken all matters into account considering the June 1 date. I of course want these to arrive prior to the marking bs, however I understand if they do not, it is what it is. However when a third party importer can get these to market quicker, it is concerning. MDC is the importer and distro for SIG in Canada and we all appreciate the work done to get the MPX FRT'd however it is their mandate to submit firearms they import to the RCMP Labs for evaluation and then advocate for approval and FRT status.

I received an email this afternoon from a retailer with an expected May 29 date, so hope is near.

I also bought one of these instead of the guaranteed ones from the states. I would like to know if the promised mid may date is going to happen or not?

MDC could you please respond with any info even if it is to say they won't be here until September. I hate being led on

Hope it works out for all of you guys with pre-orders in. They look like supersweet carbines! Really wanted one of these or an MCX myself, but we had a baby in April and the budget just won't allow it. Looking forward to hearing your experiences with the carbines once you have them in hand.

Seriously why can't importers ever give status updates on pre orders? All we want to know is where these guns are and if they will be on time. Is it so hard to give us a quick note saying just spoke to the shipper and they are on their way should be here on time or will be delayed a few weeks. Are we asking too much for gun importers to be able to act professionally like other businesses or should we just not trust preorders anymore. Lack of info makes me regret not buying it from the other source who is updating theirs are on time.
