Sad to hear that guys from ON have to wait for 2 months on the CFO approval. While I'm in QC and the province CFO also takes forever to approve transfers here, my transfer was approved just shy of 7 days, initiated June 4th late PM and approved on the 11th before noon.

All right, got some further details on serial numbers for anyone interested.
Colt has started the regular production run with PY001000.
Serial PY000001 to PY000050 are/were pre-production 2020 Pythons manufactured for tests, advertisement and initial media coverage purposes.

My guess is that a few of these 50 pre-production Pythons were used for promo, tests and media coverage and the rest were sold or given to Colt employees or Colt management.

I've wrote in an earlier post that the fix or updated Pythons with the thread locker screws and heavier mainspring was at ~PY003500 of mid Feb. production.
I was informed that a 2020 4¼" Python delivered on February 4th with serial # in the PY0038XX range had all loose screws from factory and even after tightening they became loose after shooting.
I guess that the updates were indeed implemented in mid-February but at #~PY004500 not #PY003500.

If the trigger pull is heavy it should then be the updated version with the new mainspring and screws.
The initial run of 6" that had issues with light primer strikes had a ~7.5# DA pull and a ~3.5# SA pull. The updated version increased the trigger pull weight by over 2# in both DA and SA.

From mid February just before Colt acknowledge the issues on Feb. 21 Facebook & Youtube video.
"On January 1st, Colt had 2500 (so up to serial PY003500) 6" Pythons manufactured and ready to be distributed to dealers. As the issues (crowns, primer strikes and cylinder not rotating) were starting to show and calls to customer service began, Colt froze all further shipment until the problems could be corrected. Colt tested 16 guns at the range with the updates, if they performed correctly, which they did, they would repair the 60 guns that had been returned to the factory under the RMA system, that's why it took weeks for customers to get their revolvers back after the fix."
Some 4¼" were manufactured in mid to late January and shipped to dealers in the US before Colt started this process. That's why some 4¼" in the PY003800 range made it out with issues but some other, probably the ones still sitting at the distributor or waiting for export for us in Canada were updated with the latest fixes.

This one was delivered Wed. June 3rd. I can't believe that someone at the end of the assembly line would let something like that slip QC and ship out of the factory!

Well, I guess that they don't test fire every Pythons anymore...
Obviously not! To the point that I have a list of all the things to look at upon receiving my Pythons.
Same here but talking with JJ(SS) he inspected and taken appart his (also from Tenda) and was pleased with what he received and that is why I ordered mine besides the fact that's the only way to get restricted 4" Python!
Yes, SS got a low serial 4.25” with the updates. The fact is that it’s a hit or miss and I guess I’ll know tomorrow...
a shame but you (colt: not you harry) told us now everything was fixed. seems colt speech and delivery are not talking each other.
