The 30 Blaser was a great idea, basically a 9.3x 74 necked down to 30 cal for use in doubles,, but these new bolt action Blaser magnum ones ones are just stupid. Redundancy ad nauseum.

The new 375 Verney Carron/ Hornady is going to be a good idea too. 470 Nitro necked down to 375

A friend of mine recently bought a NEW KING and once again, the NEW KING is impressive..

Oddly enough, he had no problem getting factory ammo, and from what I hear from my sources, brass for the NEW KING seems to be selling well, too...:p

ALL HAIL THE NEW KING!!

I'm curious as to all this spewing about the accuracy claims for the 375 Ruger I mean has anyone ever fired a 375 cal anything that did not give accuracy results like the picture above, I haven't basically there is something about .375" bullets that are super accurate...

The 375 Ruger is just another case design that pushes a 375 cal bullet to a velocity/recoil level that the shooter is capable of handling making it no better or worse than any other 375 cal cartridge.

:D

And yet another 375r that shoots well from the factory, sporting a 20 yr old 1.5-4.5 variable. I don't shoot this gun much, but it turns out this kind of accuracy consistently, and isn't very picky about loads. There must be something good going on here, this cartridge/gun combo is earning a great reputation for solid performance.

That is nice shooting and I can see why you are happy with your combo but the thing is I'm still not seeing the big deal about the 375r all 375 cal rifle/cartridge combos shoot like that...

;)

If you are not impressed why comment at all ??
Does your 375 rifle/ cartridge combo shoot that well, if so then you should have nothing to be concerned about.
After all this thread is about rifles chambered for the 375 Ruger, not any other 375 chambered rifles.
As for all 375 rifle/ cartridge combos shooting that well.... sorry, I've seen proof to the contrary a few times. :)

Looks to me like I gave a compliment but go ahead get your Ruger panties in a knot if you want... :p

Not concerned in anyway just pointing out a fact and FYI yes all of the 375 cal rifle/cartridge combos I have shot over the years all do which was the point of my comment even my first 375 H&H that I bought over 20 years ago produced almost exactly the same accuracy/velocities as your beloved Ruger's do and it consistently produced cloverleaf 100 yard 3 shot groups with 300gr Partitions...

After all this thread is about rifles chambered for the 375 Ruger, not any other 375 chambered rifles.

and it is filled with a load of emotional spewing praise about a rifle/cartridge that does no more or less than other 375 round...

Probably the shooter not the gun/cartridge...

I'm not dissing the 375 Ruger in any way it is an excellent combo but the point of my comment is it does not produce any better accuracy than any other 375 cartridge out there they are all accurate.

Even my 21" barreled 375RUM produces this level of accuracy and I easily push it too 500 yards for big game hunting.

Here is a pic of a 350gr TSX @ 2450fps from my 375RUM 3 shots @ 50 yards using XS Sights tall Weaver backup ghost ring sights that means I was not using a scope the lower hole is from my T/C Contender carbine in 45 Colt.

My little 21" barreled T/C Contender carbine in 375JDJ with 260gr Accubonds @ 2300fps loads consistently produces less than 3" 3 shot groups @ 300 yards...

As I have already stated all 375 cartridge/bullets combos are extremely accurate difference is on big game I will only shoot my 375JDJ loaded with 260gr Accubonds to 300 yards my 375 H&H when I still had it I would shoot to 400 yards and I easily push that with my 375RUM to 500 yards.

If I had a 375 Ruger someday which I doubt because I moved beyond its level of performance years ago I would limit my shots on game to 400 yards just like I did my 22" barreled 375 H&H and I wouldn't be buying one other than it was a good deal...

:)

Not in a knot at all :D just find your whining repititous. :p

Sure seems to irritate doesn't it ??... but nobodys forcing you to read it ??

Probably the shooter not the gun/cartridge...

Knowing you I expected that....

To each their own, since 1963 I've owned a 375 H&H, a 375/404,a 375 AI, a 378 Weatherby ( not for long ) and currently still have the H&H as well as the Ruger.
All were/are very accurate but the inaccurate ones I saw belonged to other fellows, an original Win M70, a beautiful Sako, and believe it or not, an original Holland & Holland to name a few.
Being 65 my comfort limit is now at the H&H level and I don't try to kill anything over 300 yds so they are suitable for me. :)

This thread is so long, I can't even remember what the New King was supposed to be. Let me see ...... was it the 44-40? Hmmmmmm ........

Mods please close this thread. It was only interesting when I'd been drinking. Now it's just boring. Some "upstart Cartridge" that a certain someone has proclaimed the new king of the World f:P:2:.
When everyone knows the true test of a great cartridge is the test of time.
