The new NR NoDak Spud NDS 18SC

That might be the reason, I just took a short glance and came in here to see what other news / reviews people were going to comment on the barrel twist rate and components. Sigh.

What's special about December 6th?
It's the anniversary polytechnique massacre and the survivors are calling for further gun legislation. Incase you're not aware of the history they're the ones that got the 5rd magazine policy implemented by the federal government. They consistently drawn a line in the sand and said "do this and I'll be happy and quiet" only to follow up with new demands after previous ones are met. Most recently they've been calling on Bill C-21 to have a major expansion to the already long list.

The safety minister met with them previously behind closed doors in the past and said he would expand said list, meanwhile in public statements he's claimed he has no interest in additions to the current dumpsterfire buy back that has still to get off the ground. Poly has lied in the past before about outcomes of private meetings but the current political climate/polls, prime ministers planed event attendance, Quebecs Mayors public support for polys latest demand and backlash from Bill C-21s unresolve has placed us in a uncertain situation of what could be announced on said date. Don't believe the rumors of what will happen until statements are made but be aware of the possibilities, nothing is solid or confirmed as of yet but the speculations are justified. Welcome to the post Bill C-21 approved Canada, where a massacre that happened in 1989 can give you anxiety about your gun laws today lol.

To add extra unease to the whole situation the RCMP called a GSG 16 sized in a drug raid a few days ago a submachine gun and made this stated this in an email chain to a local news agency

"The GSG-16 .22-caliber is currently legal to purchase in Canada; however, by definition it is a submachine gun because it is lightweight portable, automatic or semi-automatic firearm that uses pistol-type ammunition and is fired from the hip or shoulder. This model is lighter and more compact than previous models. It is also a firearm listed on Bill C21 to be restricted if Bill C21 is passed."

New ban announcement is the rumor. Something about some poly clown earlier last month said about a new announcement regarding the bans.
Ah, dammit, I haven't even thought about it. So tired of those guys. Not a week goes by without them messing up something
