Does that action not look like a Savage 340? The height of the tang on the grip looks about 1/4" too low. Would that make the comb low compared to the receiver?
I almost went the MS7 route which is a great bunch of features for a few bucks more than that Edge. Research that Marlin, you'll see what I mean. (Fluted bolt, barrel nut and floating bolt head for dead-on headspacing, adjustable accutrigger, half decent stock and blueing, good recoil pad, scope base.) How many features did I just list that the edge doesn't have? Oh, and you can get a camo stocked version for a few bucks more too. If it had a detachable clip or a drop plate for that money it couldn't be beat. (I should be working for them.) I wound up getting a great Ruger stainless synthetic 243 with the scalloped stock from Del Selins for even less than the MS7 cost. That was a tough decision but it was stainless. I have to say there were some great buys there. And I have to agree, sometimes this EE is only slightly less than buying new. Rifle prices have been on a bit of a roller coaster for a number of years along with our dollar. That hasn't helped.
