The New Winchester Model 71s Are Finally Here!

My late Brother had a Browning 71 and years ago I bought him a Winchester 71 for his birthday, he felt that the Browning was a better shooter than the Winchester. Having shot both of his rifles, I think he was right.
As for nicer, I have to disagree, in my opinion my original 71 Deluxe is much nicer than any Browning 71 That i've handled. For the longest time I felt that my 1886 Browning was nicer than an original '86, that is, until I got to fondle / handle a gorgeous original '86.

X2.;) I'll live with what I have:D.

Congratulations, Nipigon Jack! Where did you pick it up?

Bud Haynes Auction in Red Deer. They handled the estate of a collector who had some specatular items. It was only the second time I have seen one of these for sale in Canada and was not going to leave that auction without it. I'm kicking myself for not bidding higher on a A Zoli over under 9.3 x 74R with a Leopld 1 x 4. There were only 2 bidders left, me and the new owner. I quit at $1,800 or $1,900. I think he got the deal of the auction.

I thought I'd bring this thread back from the dead. I finally took the time to take a couple of photos and upload them.
Here are my pair of Browning 71 carbines.

Now all I need to add to my collection, is the real deal instead of one of these cheap imposters Laugh2
