The next cartridge you would like Hornady to develop

federal, fusion 2's please, they can do bonded affordable, they certainly know how to do accuracy, so run them bullets through a swage and give fusion 2's lol, or maybe 'fusion long range' lol

if the others can't do bonded affordable no biggie, you don't actually need that until you're driving them well past 2800 or you want a defensive deep penetration round to compete with mono's but general hunting of big game they aren't needed, high sd cup and core is a perfect formula if not over driven

The Speer Impact was kinda close too

Yea I have a few 308 s too But I am partial now to KILL STUFF. With that FEDERAL . It’s a DANDY cartridge between the small and big ! RJ

Personal affections aside, I doubt the 308 gives up much if anything to the 338Federal or 358Winchester.

All three are good cartridges.

I think Hornady should introduce a nice low recoil dual purpose varmint/deer cartridge. It would be easy enough to neck up the 22-250 case to take a .257 bullet. Should be no sweat to get 3000fps with the 85-87 gr bullets and 2850 fps should be easily doable with a 100 gr bullet. Would make a dandy little deer/coyote cartridge. Maybe if there was some interest in the cartridge browning could even chamber the BLR in it.

6x45/6-223 Rem would be a neat factory option, but the 243 win is already low recoil enough

I had a friend years ago that was a top tier silhouette shooter. His unlinted rifke was chambered in 6/222rem mag

It would reliably knock down the 500 meter rams , and he used it on a fewdeer as well.
I always found it a bit of a novelty , though. Simply because of the case capacity .

I'm liking where 6mm ARC is at, which seems to be the desired performance levels....but would the 6/222 mag fit in AR pattern mags, use a 223 bolt face, and could the brass be made from 223 Rem?

I don't think I've ever even seen one.

I don’t think it’s really AR compatible because the short magazine combined with long 6mm bullets don’t work. More of a bolt gun strategy.

Got you! Thanks.

Kind of the same with some of the longer 223 projectiles already anyway so no big.
