The next obsolete cartridge...

Nice to see an old thread spring back to life. :p

NAA.

Winchester
Prvi partizan
Sellier & Bellot
Wolf

Thats just off the top of my head. :)

The only one that surprises me out of that list is Winchester, which I have never seen on a store shelf anywhere. And guess what? I've never seen Privi or S&B on the shelf at Canadian Tire or Walmart either. A handful of stores stocking imported ammo will NOT guarantee longevity.

Canadian Tire or Walmart make up a very small part of the Canadian ammunition market.

And the so called handfull of stores you are referring to are doing just fine, and in fact from what I have seen sell every last box of 7.62x54R they get.

Another thing is the fact that there are now LOTS of 7.62x54R rifles in Canada. Which means one hell of a potential market for ammo importers.

no cartridge is ever total gone as long as you re-load and fire form brass. Hell over half the fun is making the ammo you shoot. I love old obsolite calibers they all work and get the job done. Yes I have some of the new ones and think th 325 is the best of the WSM's. I also love the 257 roberts and I shoot a hellof alot of 6.5x55.
