The numbers of SKS rifles in Canada

With SKS you have a chance in a life time to buy a military semiauto with price of a cheap wallmart low quality bb gun. Was never before and will never be in the future to buy a brand new military semiauto for the price of a day and a half work paid (160). So take the chance, one day will dry up, rusian are seling allready by the year 1954, this is the last year of manufacturing.
The last year was 1956 for Russian but other countries made many more, especially China, Not sure but I thought someone on cgn said they stopped making them in the 90's?? Anyone know for sure?

I have six. These things have been coming into the country since the 80's, and have been loved by Canadians since then. Between my eight or so shooting buddies, they probably have 20 of them altogether.

I'd say at least 100,000.

I agree, every time I go to the Range a great number of the People I see there have an SKS with them.

I always liked the CZ858 better, but I bought my protest SKS the night they changed the FRT on the CZ.

Russian - bright bolt and bayo. Figure I might as well get the real Russian deal if I'm gonna have one.

Okay, I am new here, what's a (Fuddie)? and are there Younger ones?

Slang term for a "casual" gun owner; eg; a person who typically only owns guns for hunting or shotgun sports and does not truly believe in the true premise of the second amendment. These people also generally treat owners/users of so called "non sporting" firearms like handguns or semiautomatic rifles with unwarranted scorn or contempt.

Got 1 love it, my son says I should buy a case, he says it would be cool to have them all line up. lol them give th away as Xmas gifts.
