the official "next M305 shipment arrival" thread

I'm glad I found this thread. I've been talking about this with some friends for a while now. Now it seems it's really coming. For those University kids above, you guys are not alone :) And I don't really try to bring up gun topics in campus most of the time, but once I did go to a group meeting with a used SKS I just bought , didn't have time to drop it at home. It was apparently wrapped pretty well, though.

Ok.. nobody's asked today: Are we there yet? Heard anything? Any news? Anyone call Marstar today? When? When! When??!!

here is a hint of when they come, the boat hasn't left china yet.....................

i phoned on thursday and asked to have some shotguns reserved, the guy said still in china. i bet it'll be at least 6 weeks or more, if they left today.

Thanks - I only picked up on this thread a few days ago and based on earlier 'predictions' of 'a few weeks' I figured it must be getting close. Guess I'll bank the funds and just start watching this thread for news like everybody else.

Slick,
If you weren't so far away I'd let you shoot one of mine (cause I bought two just like Skullboy told me to:) )- that would ease your tension abit - hmmmm...or make the waiting even worse.

Got an email from Mike @ Marstar yesterday. Said that the latest that he's heard is that the ship will arrive early May and they'll be able to start moving them by mid month.

Not bad. So i guess another 4 weeks ;)

Got a phone call from Marstar this afternoon saying the M305s will be there Friday and ready for sale close to the end of the month. They are taking names and asking for credit card commitments. So start getting in line for the new batch before they are all spoken for.

You're not yanking us, are you? :p

OK, OK, I'll believe you. What could it hurt! :D

My email is away; with telephone followup tomorrow. Yee-haw!

I'm glad I ordered most of my accessories over the last 6 weeks and some ammo too; there may be a run on stuff now that Marstar's order is about in. I still want a few items from Rooster33 though, but they are not essential. These babies will shoot fine out of the box.

While I wait patiently for an email response from Rooster (he must be very busy), is anyone willing to tell me what Rooster charges for the bolt stop/release, the cheekrest, and the rod spring guide?

Also, has anybody had sucess ordering a stock from Boyd's or Fred's? Boyd's says on the website that orders less than $100 do not require an "import permit". I think they mean an export permit, but I understand their meaning. Is anyone else in Canada able to supply USGI Synthetic stocks right now? I understand Skullboy is not taking orders currently.

Thanks and good luck to everyone in getting a M305!

Speaking of USGI stocks, does anyone sell those dummy selector switches in Canada?

Thank you for mentioning that the M-14S will be ready for sale close to the end of the month.

It's very important to note that the arrival of a shipment in country is only the beginning:

- container in queue for offloading from transport (hurry up and wait!)
- arrival in bonded warehouse
- paperwork-related procedures with broker
- in queue for Customs inspection (hurry up and wait!)
- CBSA inspection and paperwork verification
- release once inspection/verification is complete
- repacking of container after inspection as required
- in queue for transport by trucking company (hurry up and wait!)
- transport to our facilities
- unloading of container
- unpacking and sorting of shipment incl. checking packing lists, permits, and gov't documents
- inventory of each individual item for CFC and company purposes
- stacking and stocking our shelves
- Then we're ready to start filling orders. Whew!

The above notice is just to explain why when mention of a theoretical arrival date in country (for the sake of speculation we'll say 'Friday') we aren't shipping items out to clients on Monday morning.

Once we've gone through the above procedures we'll produce the results you've been waiting for. Since a picture is worth a thousand words:

Hope this helps,

I just finished phoning Marstar and ordered two of them. The gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and helpful and BUSY! I noticed on their website that they still state the rifles are temporarily out of stock. This is a boon for us on CGN, we get first crack at them! Hurry up! What are you waiting for! Still reading? Why aren't you on the phone?

Got mine ordered! Get on it boys, no sitting on the fence here, selling fast.

" Ok, and how many would you like to order? " I wanted to say all of them haha.
