I will say it again, again, again,
Three weeks ago yesterday the container arrived....
We inventoried 1000s of guns....
We began filling ALL orders at hand in the sequesnce they were received,"FIRST IN, FIRST OUT"
AS fast as the transfer are completed and approved we are shipping the firearms out.... We have booked over 50 man/hours of overtime this past week alone, just packing Norincos....
Thats what the delays are all about....

But CFC "slowness" has nothing to do with the transfer of unrestricted rifles. Marstar admitted to me that the transfer of M-305's happens by internet and usually immediately. The delay is b/c as johnone says above.

I think if you look at it in the respect that they inventoried "1000's of firearms" and the M305 is sold out again, how long does it take to register one firearm on the internet and how many individual lines out of Marstar do they have to register firearms through the internet?
I bet it adds up quite quickly.
As long as you have your order in, don't ignore your other firearms. Let them see the light of day because when you do get your M305, they will be neglected for awhile.

Once you set up your window and begin doing multiples of the same firearm then it goes quite quickly.... But remember that before they are even entered the shipment has been inventoried to confirm that the shipment is intact, no shortages, no overages.... Then each firearm is inspected and the serial number verified against the packing lists.... then each firearm is assigned an inventory number.... then they are entered at the CFC....
I'm a bit confused with your question "how many individual lines out of Marstar do they have to register firearms through the internet?"
All non restricted and some restricted tasks with the registry are done on the internet, yes, but we are operating on a broadband microwave link to Ottawa. We have been off hard wire for years....
That said they can be slow, we have some non-restricted we posted to the system two weeks ago, they are still not registered....
Restricted can take from 2-14 days to be posted.... Prohibs, well thats whole difefrent matter....
Transfers to individuals can take from a few moments to a few days.... depends on what is happening at the registry and the accuracy of the information given to us by the purchaser....

A member offered a very good suggestion, that we start workin 25 hours a day 8 days a week.... Excellent suggestion I will present this to our staff tomorrow....

We do our best to keep things rolling. Things have been hectic since we must start working overtime the moment the shipment lands in port (we almost need another container just for the import-related paperwork!).
From what I've seen many of the issues discussed here arise from less-than-consistent 'time to register/transfer firearms' from the CFC.
Fact: sometimes firearms take as little as a few minutes to transfer.
Fact: sometimes firearms take as long as a few weeks to transfer.
Fact: both of the above can occur with any and every class of firearm and with little or no apparent logic, explanation, rhyme or reason (though John is right in that restricted and prohibited usually take longer).
Through it all we do our absolute best to expedite the paperwork and shipment process because delays don't do either us or our clients any good. We want as many of our reasonably-priced rifles on the firing line as soon as possible to take full advantage of the shooting season and because there exists no better form of advertising than a happy RFC member with his/her nice new toy from Marstar! This thread is concrete proof of that.

I have no problems or questions. I received my 2 M305 rifles quite quickly and in excellent shape. I was just musing about how long it would take to put through the information to register all those firearms to their new owners. Now if you had 50 people working computers to register firearms, it would go alot faster than using 2 people to do the same task. I won't even go through what it takes before this event can happen.
Nothing ever goes as fast as everyone would like. I'm sure that eventually everyone will get their rifles. When you get your next shipment in, I would like another 2 rifles. In the meantime, I can make do with the 3 that I have bought from your fine company.

My wife told me that she missed the Canada Post delivery guy about an hour ago, but the package will be available for pickup after work at the local postal outlet!
It's been a long wait, but definitely worth it. Now I can actually do something with all those parts, stocks I've been accumulating.

This batch is a nice one, really well done. The bolt's and machining in general in this batch appear less crude than even my former 'good' examples. Funny, as I bet most of these parts are far from new.

Oh and the stock's actually nice I was amazed, I gave a quick scuff sand and a few coats of tung oil to it and I can't tell the difference from a nice USGI walnut from a few feet! Really impressive given the wood that came on my other M305's!

I know, these pics have been shown before. I tried my hand at painting but I like metal best. YOU have a knack for painting, I don't. Keep up the great work.
When you get that first M14 and stick it in that beautiful stock. You won't be satisfied. The only deterrent from other mods will be your imagination. Have fun
