The SEALS pick the Glock 19. (merged)

You can't shoot Sig226 under water. Glock you can. Seal Teams have been using Glocks for several years unit purchase. SIG are ok for law enforcement applications, not for tactical. SA pistols are quicker for trigger reset and more accurate for multiple targets and multiple firing. Shot both, issued both, Glock is better. XD is even better ... new strike fire H&K 9 wow. But Glock in the elements outperforms. The more badguys not using Glocks, the more I win.

...the bullet goes 3 feet under water with no power passed the first couple of inches (and I believe you need a new srping to do this anyways?)...This ONLY works when the gun is fully submerged in water and ALL the air is out, otherwise you can have some serious issues with it.

Well let's say you were firing under water or going into beaches and getting your gun into all sorts of good stuff, the glock and all striker fired pistols are at a serious disadvantage because if anything gets into your striker assembly well your outta luck, with hammer fired you can at least clean the sh#t quicker without having to do a complete takedown

Anyone who seriously considers operators with just pistols coming from underwater shooting session right into a sand storm to be saved by an easy disassembly of sidearms... needs to hold off from government procurement programs until an age of reason - at least like 12 years old.

you dont even have to remove the slide from the pistol to clean the striker channel or remove the striker, just lock the slide back, remove back plate, and striker/channel are all accessible..... takes abut 1 minute.

This video sums it up for underwater shooting :p

I get that but look at the HK VP9 test by military arms.... It's a piece of sh#t, so let's say your in a firefight and you have to dive into water in order to save your life, and water gets into the striker assembly your f#ck sev n ways to Sunday were as something like a sig wouldn't be as bad

Glocks float, SIGs don't.

So much easier to retreive your side arm after an underwater gunbattle that goes hand to hand :)

Glockers live in a world of their own, where water is more dense than steel, maybe something else is dense.. err, no comment

Where can I get a deal like that? Last I knew, Glocks and SIGs were within about 15% the same price, with a prestige markup for SIGs because of the SEAL thing.

1. Declare war on Trudeau. He will immediately announce that the Canadian Forces will only be allowed to distribute flowers to your relatives and he will announce an immediate acceptance of all the war refugees staying at the Yellowknife Inn.

2. Set up a provisional Gov't on Baffin Island

3. Set up a FBISCOM

4. Place a proposed PO with GLOCK, S&W, CZ FN, SIG & Ruger for 15,000 pistols with an attached 10 year Parts, Maintenance and Training Contract. The PM&T component at twice the amount anyone else would pay.

5. After accepting copious amounts of political funding declare Glock the winner because it is the most accurate, reliable pistol on the planet and the most popular in da hood and dat is where the real action is.

Join the BIM and get a coupon to buy a Glock 19 pistol for $240BIC (Under the BIPC $100US goes to your Presidential expenses).

Glock, Sig, bloody L9s... I don't give a ####, truth be told, I'm not going to stand in front of it. The platform is the platform. What puts rubber to road is the ####er swinging the iron.

3 at least - large and/or high profile orders get screaming deals from Glock - one department picked up a few hundred G22's for $139 each, imagine what the USMC/NSW price will be - a fraction of what you'd pay.

Ok I got to ask you who provided you that information? Rest assured that pricing is not that cheap on a Glock, Last time the FBI purchased the Glock .40 S&W pistols it cost a lot more than that, also federal agencies in the US get set pricing & The pricing that you had been given is pie in the sky !!

And your source is? You seem to be pretty sure of your information. What was the cost to the FBI when they purchased their last order of 40Cal Glocks? Saying it "cost a lot more than that" is not an answer.
