most of my younger life , i used a single shot. I found it great when walking along the rabbit trail.
My father too was from the depression era of 'don't squander your money' and his Coeey Model 84 in 12 gauge was the only one for him.My father always had a single shot, because repeaters are 'expensive'.
Strange, because he always got birds...
Blew him away when I bought my Mossberg 500 for 300 bucks though.![]()

canvasback - I haven't taken the time to search....were there more and complete images of the shotgun in that doubles photo thread? I would be interested in looking at some closeups of the receiver, fore end etc design. How is the shotgun choked?
