The SKS just became a moose rifle

Good. But no matter what my SKS is always my MHR or MBR. :D This new ### additional just adds a little more juice in my recipe. Maybe I should start testing 150 gr bullets in my SKS now.

Even though some say "the SKS will always be a peice of s**t", I figure the next shipment to Lever Arms will be gone in less than a month.

I used to shoot 160 cast out of mine no problem at all. 7.62x39 will love 150's.

"...SKS just became a moose rifle..." Only if you're riding it.

Bears are better. :D

Actually you folks are missing the obvious with these new bullets...

Load them .311's into .303 cases and use them with yer Enfields, and you will get a wicked velocity out of an all around varmint/deer cartridge...reloading data for 125grain .303 loads on Steve Redgwell's great site:303british.com

Calum, you fun stopper :( It was much more fun to bash the communisto 7.62x39! :runaway:
But. You nailed it....

Now back to Mamoth huting with an sks :D

What's frustrating is that they make a TSX for that somewhat limited cartridge and ignore our repeated pleas to make a real .303 bullet. Just imagine the fun we could have with a 150-grain TSX in .312, for example.

I say this assuming that their confusing "150 grain .303/6.5mm" offering is something different than an actual .303 bullet. If it turns out that they're making an actual 150-grain .303 TSX, I'll take back everything I've said and sing their praises.

It sounds like they are making the TSX for .303 (.311"), but they're doing it under the guise of 7.7mm.

The Barnes folks are such boneheads - first it's "303/7mm", now it's "303/6.5mm". Eventually it will become the correct "303/7.7mm".

Or is could end up being 6.5 150grs. Probably a lot bigger market in the US for reloading, than for the 303 round, 303's were not very popular, when I was living down there. There is no really premium 303 rounds out there by any other major manufacture, though a premium in 303 would be nice....

I sent them an email to clarify which new round it was.
