That is from the import and distribution company in Canada that SPUHR deals with. Coretac feels that the civilian market is not financially worth it.

Thats an unfortunate decision by Coretac.
Hopefully SPUHR didn't give them the exclusive rights to all of Canada.
I find it difficult to understand where they think their large quanity of LE or Military customers will come from. Perhaps most of their sales are international.

So we're back to RKS as our only supply of specialty G36 parts?

I am hoping that they did not give the importing rights only to one distributor, we will have to see but honestly it seems unlikely. Coretac seems to be based out of an apartment suite in Ontario so large military or LEO contracts seem a bit far fetched.

I wanted a g36 and all I got was an SL8. Because you suck and we hate you.


I still love my g36 wana be :D. Out shoots a Swiss any day, all day.
 
Just a bit of an update, such as it is, on the Spuhr Magwell Adapter. I enquired with Kamran(Coretac) if if made a difference if I made a bulk order as opposed to a single one. I figured perhaps enough interest and with the help of ebay I could sell enough to spark his interest. His response...

"Multiple units might be helpful; however right now SPUHR is unable to fill any G36 accessories (including LE and Military). If the products become available, we’ll let you know."

So perhaps all hope isn't completely lost... just not likely. Especially for the foreseeable future.
 
Hey guys, i have been reading this thread for few hours already and cant find anything on Barrel replacement.. Is there any different options? Lets say i want to make a G36C clone out of my SL8, can i get a g36c barrel somewhere? i know it would have to be re-registered as restricted.. thats fine. Or my only option is to get the factory barrel cut to 18.5 and threaded... ???

Can you also list some stores that carry SL8-G36 stuff and ship to canada.. not all the links on the first page still work..

For a custom made barrel try Herron Arms.

RKS out of Spain (link is on the first page) has been my favorite. Just make sure you have a big enough shopping list to make the 45 euro shipping charge justified.
 
I will be ordering a Spuhr magwell and bolt stop for myself directly from the manufacturer, if anyone else is interested in getting one please PM me and we can work together to lower freight costs.
 
HK has released it own magwell conversion. It does not work with all types polymer mags from what I have heard. I think the SPUHR would still be better.

EDIT: PMAGS will work.
