The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

CGN never fails to deliver some great laughs...

Awesome guys, more details and clarity in 5 minutes than BCL in 8 months

Amen to that! Seems like someone has their ducks in a row before coming to market.

That's the proper way to introduce a new firearm to the market IMO. It came with spec sheet and plenty of options(stock, barrel length, Cal choices and upper/lower combo) on 1st few days! It took forever for other competitor to create a spec sheet which is un-acceptable. BZ Arms East Canada!

This is how it should be done. 10/10 product release. No gimmicks & no hidden information.

Bwahahahahahahahaha <catches breath> bwahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Final weight isn't going to be a huge factor because I won't have to lug it very far where I plan to use it. Only issue is I'm having a hard time figuring out what style to go with for the build.

Here's 3 random pics from the interweb. Something similar to either style would suit me fine. Just not sure what one yet.

A. A2 stock & Midwest Industries handguard

B. Magpul PRS stock & SLR Rifleworks handguard

C. Magpul UBR stock & Fortis handguard

I'm kinda favoring the last one. It's a nice modern look. Only problem is key-mod... YUCK

Too many desisions...

will do

FYI the UBR 2.0 is on sale on brownells at 169.99, and you get 20$ off an order that has 175$... a good filler item is a magpul/odin works extended mag release for 14-16$ ;)

A helluva lot better than the CAD 280$ + tx + shipping here...

so if I wanted to put an a2 fixed stock on one of these what other parts would I need to fit it to the lower?
I've never played with fixed stocks so I<m a bit confused at what parts are needed.

I got most of my stuff on order. lots is backordered but ill call and double check stock times.

There probly figuring out how much of an extra DMR / NR tax to add to the price. Arms east has said that it’s supposed to be quite a bit cheaper than the 6.5.... I guess we will find out soon.

They also said the price for the NR 308 version will be made available by now. That was a few days ago.

will a 12 inch handguard cover a rifle length gas system gas block?
A quick google search shows me that rifle length gas block port is at 12 inches, but does that mean the gas block it start at 12 inches or ends at 12 inches?

was the tube exposed or just the gas block?
I only seen them in pics. Just the GB showing.

That’s why I ordered with a 14 inch handguard.
It’s since been sold.

I found it’s difficult to get the right lenght.
I’m going with a 15 inch handguard on a 20 inch barrel.
With a brake, that leaves about 7 inchs of exposed barrel.
