The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

lol, no man, I kid you not.
It was supposed to be for a cheap BCL build.
Which is now a memory.

I thought,as it’s only a spring, what’s the worst that could happen:)

Hhahah ouch. I can see that though. The Stag 10 came out of left field and really gives us a non restricted AR10/AR308 entry that is up to specs.

Two problems.
1) It's an Armalite AR10 carbine length spring. So it's too long for the Stag DPMS length carbine buffer tube.
2) The Buffer is even more clangy than most AR10 buffers. It's one of the things I'm looking at replacing with a Spike's T3 buffer.

The good news with the buffer is that you can easily take it apart and order some tungsten weights etc or play around with it to get the weight you want. I was looking at Tungsten powder to do a DIY Spike's buffer. But it's actually cheaper to just buy a Spike's buffer.

The other issue is that while I do like the BCL 102 it is hobby grade. The Stag specs are very good. I would stick with equivalent or better parts. The BCL 102 parts are too unknown.

That fortis handguard... where would one find that? Same with barrels... canada retailers?

A*tec# Armoury (can I say that name on here?) has the Fortis AR10 14" key-mod in stock. You'll just have to wait for it to come on their next import

Jp Spring and Brownells .308 Buffer worked extremely well with the SLR adjustable gas block. I was actually surprised how smooth it was.

I cheated out and ordered a non adjustable LP GB a few days ago.
I was looking at buffer and spring on Brownells today.

In the description, it says 308 buffer for AR 15 rifles.
That got me confused... ha ha

I have an Armalite AR10 ive only looked at twice in over 5 years so i dont know much about them. from what i read it's not a DPMS pattern. are the mags even compatible?
