Not sure if you're agreeing or disagreeing with my post so I'll just say K.
no i wasn't agreeing with you I was trying to point out the folly of the road some of you are trying to go down. If I failed to do so.... well I have no apology for you my friend.
an upper is non regulated , it's parts.
Meaning my wife can buy me a restricted upper from any store in canada and not need an rpal (or any firearms license for that matter) to do so.
So why would a firearm get prohibitted or restricted simply by the upper that is attached to it?? Because the firearms act clarifies barrel length and overall length are the determining factors.
in the case of the bcl 102 and stag 10s , the lowers have been deemed nonrestricted because they do not meet the criteria of restricted or prohibitted "except" by barrel length (and overal of course)
they , the rcmp, issued the frt...... enuff said..... go buy one.... no one cares what upper you put on it as long as you are following the firearms act right?
edit** I'm not trying to be a #### or be combative , i just fail to see why so many gun owners fail to understand the simplest things about our laws and what they can and can't do. Sick of seeing fellow gun nuts fret over the fear of confiscation and the man swooping in. Seeing people hear the news of another fantastic semi auto non restricted in a proven reliable platform/design and people think they are doing something wrong by buying one.... living in fear that the bubble is gonna pop and someone at the firearms lab will suddenly go oops! I shouldna let those thru!!
you guys think after the cz and swiss arms debacle that they are gonna allow themselves to do that again? i don't think "they" are that dumb. I just think that for once, some common sense is prevailing at the firearms lab.
so I mean no offense to anyone , it's just frustrating to see gun owners questioning this so much even though the act is quite clear.
