The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

Well that answers all the stripped bcls on Ee . Almost pulled pin on a set myself two weeks ago . For once and only once I’m happy the wife won . Hello stag 10 s

Just placed my order on the Stag website for the strripped set. will see how this plays out...lol... So 289 US + 35$ import fee. should be around 445$ . Thats insane compared to the 102 that I paid 800$ for...

Sorry but who imports a reciever for $35 that isn’t on their website. IRG, @####h and Prophet all charge more then that for third party imports on firearms. Unless you get a discount for buying so much lol.

As for the NR Stag AR10, it’s what I’ll get once I’m done my other NR builds.

WTF is your problem. ?

don't think he can answer that in one sitting man, just ignore the trolls. My guess is he can't pay to play so the jealousy comes out as internet fodder.
If it makes you feel any better..... I operate on crown land too haha

A receiver is part, and a part is 35$... And I dont use IRG they are too expensive for imports. Prophet and @zz are way cheaper.

I could be way out to lunch but im waiting for a reply and i'll know for sure soon enough.

I just figured a stripped reciever was a “firearm” to those companies, thanks for the heads up. Wouldn’t it be $55 since it’s two parts? :D

They dont play that game, Heck my M1 Garand was only 150$ even with all the other parts that were with it. Some importers here like to play the game and charge people lots of money for no reason :).

Its one stripped set. not 2 parts.

anyone know if there si a difference in the existing stag ar 10's and the ones arm's east is bringing in? other than barrel lenght to make it non-res were there other modifications required?

Im intrigued, but the offerings right now other than NOT being BCL are not tickling my fancy....11lbs for the "stripped" firearm...i get that its a precision rifle but damn thats a hefty #####.

My issue with the BCL was all the forward weight...it really made the rifle unbalanced...maybe i'm expecting too much from a 308 based firearm?

the 11.2lbs is for the full 22" rifle. 11.7lbs for the 24" rifle.

the bones rifle is 9.4lbs

So as a guy who has zero experience with the AR10 platform, if I wanted to build a retro C7A1-style in .308, is it possible? Can I get a reasonably lightweight 20" .308 barrel with rifle-length gas, the C7-style front sight/gas block, handguard retainer... and will an AR15 handguard fit?

I'm still a bit of an AR10 Newbie as well, but here are my internet findings.

Can I get a reasonably lightweight 20" .308 barrel with rifle-length gas:
Yes, Reasonably lightweight being relative of course. Light + Accurate = $$$

The C7-style front sight/gas block:
Probably, AR15 and AR10 Gas blocks are the same thing, compatibility depends on barrel dimensions.

handguard retainer:
Not Sure, there is usually an equivalent AR10 part.

Will an AR15 handguard fit?
No, AR15 handguards are smaller than AR10 style Handguards.
