The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

I would wait a few days/weeks to see what is offered in completed guns. AR-10s are generally cheaper to buy complete than they are to build - at least right now.

100 percent correct!! The closer you can get it to what you want out of the box, the less expensive it will be.

Also the upper/lower on these are stated in the specs as 7075 anodized and forged. No guessing the aluminum grade or hoping the cerekote will do the job. The only negative are no ambi controls. I would take the better specs anyday over ambi controls. Considering Stag even offers this in a left hand version....

That being said....

Not true, Its cheaper to build an AR10. You end up replacing parts on complete guns anyways.

This "should" be a more straight forward build with a lot less trial and error to see what parts work with what parts like is happening with the BCL

Didnt know the 102 was hard to build... lol... Must of gotten lucky every part I used fit no problem... lol.

I bought the receiver set. Gonna take my Armalite AR10T barrel and armalite BCG from my bcl to build the stag. No idea what handguard I'm gonna use but I'm gonna take the tube and magpul moe sl and k grip off the bcl too.

in your case, how many thousands are into your 102? Lol

Whats it to you ? I spent 3K on my build and 2K on my Optic, Its chump change dude. Ill be using all the quality parts I purchased and swap them to this receiver set. and it will be the exact same amount.

Quality Barrels and BCG cost money. doesn't matter what the receiver set it.

Because you understood what parts to order. Makes the job go a lot smoother when you actually understand what's going on. Many others reported being confused about type of bcg, handguard, receiver extension, lpk etc.... because it takes a mixture of DPMS and Armalite spec parts.
