The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

So here's a question, are AR10 headspace issues when mixing brands of new bcg and barrels a realistic issue? Brownells has huge deals on their BCG's (which have great reviews) right now but I'm still unsure of which barrel I'd like. Just want to make sure I don't have issues down the road trying to save a couple hundred bucks.

I believe with AR-10s it is more likely because nothing is standard like an AR-15. I would order a set of gauges, there is 62,000 PSI right by your face.

The adjustment screw of the SLR gas block was exposed and Im pretty sure I would of broke it off at some point if I left it exposed. Especially the way I treat my rifles...lol...

Do you still have that 12" rail? That's the direction I'm thinking about going with mine. I like short rails.

On my bcl stripped receiver I used a faxon bcg and faxon 6.5cm barrel. Checked it with gauges and was fine. I think the bcl was more of a crapshoot since nobody still knows what bcg is supposed to be in there and their stuff is out of spec often so could have been by chance that stuff fit.

The 12 inch rail is on sale on Brownells for 170 usd and Geissele triggers are on sale too. Use a US zipcode to put in discount codes and then change the delivery address.

Some barrels come with a matching bolt. Gonna put in a jp supermatch in my stag set. Just debating on 308 or 6.5cm. Was going to sit out the stag offerings all together but had so many spare parts kinda made sense to just make another rifle.

Got mine today.
Pictured with MI 15" key mod.

Overall happy with it. Fit and finish is good. I AM still keeping a bcl 102. Has a place in my cabinet. Sucks pricing on 102 receivers is so much more.

I'll post completed rifle tommorow. Will sport a faxon match fluted 6.5 cm and an Odin 17.5 inch hg

where did you buy the barrel?

If you enter the discount code and then change the address after its applied will it still remain valid? They have prime day sales so even more savings

Yup the code usually gives free shipping plus money off. They money off stays after changing the address, have successfully put a few orders thru

I've never had to change my address and the code has worked. It won't work at the initial page but when go through the checkout it works. The biggest problem is they don't give the option to have it shipped USPS. Instead they keep wanting to send it by UPS which is expensive.

Choose parcel post priority, I think no matter what up UPS takes the shipment the border, and then it's transferred to USPS.

All I'm missing is the handguard and barrel (CA barrel not expected for 3 months :( ). I didn't install my Trigger Tech yet. Once I get the rest of the parts I'll try it with the trigger it came with first. For a mil-spec trigger it is quite nice. It's the typical heavy pull however it is quite smooth.

Receivers fit together nicely with NO wiggle. Finish is nice. Stag BCG is excellent. Bolt moves nice and snug and machining of bcg where gas rings run is SMOOTH. I say no worries of chewed out gas rings like BCL.

I'd say this is yet another high value for your money Stag Arms product. So far so good.

The hardest part will be my long wait for my CA carbon fiber barrel :(

Woo Geissele SD-E, Brownells BCG and a radian ambi safety on the way (after my end user agreement is sent) thanks to brownells sale and picked parcel post priority to avoid ups scam.

Wow nice build.

All these people getting order numbers is making me sad lol. I'll be going on 10 days tomorrow. I've never had another store take so long to ship.
