The T97 Thread!

i have very good success with pmags. I used to encounter the feed ramp issue with LAR15 mags 1% or less failure to feed rate but once i switched to pmags i never had any issue with feeding.

Hey all, does anyone have a hogue or pachmayr sleeve that fits nice on the grip? Or any type? Tried grip tape but would be nice to get a slip on sleeve. It seems smaller than alot of pistol grips so wondering if anyone here has found one that works well. Thanks!

Usually that involves getting the tavor too. Was looking at a t97 today. Got stuck with about 6k of .223 handloads and no legal rifle. Don’t want to spend the money for a tavor to have it added to the list in a few months. Was actually impressed. I can get the t97 and a ruger pc9 for the cost of the Tavor

The T97 is a solid rifle, goofy ergos notwithstanding. IMO, it's 90% of the Tavor for 40% of the price.

My buddy's T97 is a rock solid shooter that just goes bang. Both the Tavor and T97 are based on proven designs and are not just dressed up wannabe's. Buy which ever one works for you, both are great.

Quick question. I just got a t97 with the billet lower from t97.ca. I have noticed that the magazine lock button is very sloppy causing gen2 pmags and some steel mages to fall out of the bottom.

There is a pivot on the assembly that causes it to only *just clip some mags. Another mm of engagement will fix the issue. I can tilt the whole mag catch backwards and disengage the mag without hitting the button.

Is there a recommended upgrade for the mag release or an easy to find spring upgrade to add more tension to the mag release button?

Thanks in advance.

I always wanted an Tavor, being that it's made in the birthplace of my ancestors haha, but after holding both I found myself surprisingly preferring the feel and ergonomics (other than safety) of the Gen 3 T97... I'm sure I'll get a X95 eventually but the T97 just feel great to me.

Comes from the factory on setting one, center position is no gas, next one over is for more gas for when the gun is dirty. Full mil spec design all the way. The adjustment was to be made using a shell casing. Even the low setting is over gassed.
