The T97 Thread!

In case you peeps haven't seen it yet, Cabbage's review of the QBZ95 small arms family (including the T97) is definitely worth watching:

Also, quick question to those with the LHG. Do regular MLOK grips fit to the LHG's MOE slots?

Great explanations and details!
That Longbow top rail for the Gen 1,,,who do I have to sleep with to import some?

Get a T97 while you can Poly has it and the Tavor on their hate list. And the do as your told Trudeau Pony Soldiers will be happy to add them to their Socialist supporting list of bans.....

Wow....loads of info there..thanks

I have a question...I ordered a T97.ca LHG for my gen 3 last week....has anyone had any issues with fitment? Or are they just able to be installed without any filing of parts( yes I have seen T97's video)

Thanks

If the Gen 3 has the same lower appointment points, it's definitely harder to install than the regular polymer lower. But you'll gradually get used to it.

I've found that it works ok if you have the front of the LHG near the edge of the installation point and then rotate in the back of the LHG so that it engages the trigger bar. At that point you should try to push the entire LHG assembly back (away from the muzzle) so you can install the crosspin.

Definitely a serious ergonomic upgrade on the original, the new safety is fantastic. Make sure to get a less angled pistol grip, avoid A2-style ones as they force your arm near the mag area.

At the end of the day arguing about which is better is pointless, as any prolonged debate will just ensure you get neither. If you have $3000.00 buy a Tavor. If you have $3000.00 buy a T97, a scope, a red dot, a carry case, a crate of ammo, a sling, and magazines. Just don't wait as the Turd will ensure you have nothing soon.

that is for sure the best writing in a while. post it as well on which is better the tavor or the t97 that will make a consensus ...

As both rifles make extensive use of tough poly don't know what the benefit would be, but the cocking handle could be made easily out of metal if you wanted. Cannot see how anyone could break one unless it fell off a mountain or aircraft they are beefy.

Have you taken apart a T97? Nothing but Mil Spec metal for the bolt parts. Anyone ever hear of a T97 or Tavor breaking inside? I have not.
