Might be. But I have a feeling I got a few mags that are slightly off. I have rra light and dark gray. The dark ones fit snug and perfect. Out of the 14 light ones, only 4 are loose. The rest are good.
 
There's a shot in the movie Warm Bodies where someone is holding a T97. Thought it was really odd; upon further investigation, the film was shot in Montreal this year.
 
Just got my 50 cal mag. Feeds the rounds fine but super tight fit. Had to force it in and out a dozen times, now it's alright, but will never fall, still have to give it a good pull to release.

Your telling me! Luv those mags but to bad our stupid government can't see that it is pointless to have these magazine restrictions and let us shoot normal magazines.
As for my T97 I had to ditch the charging handle cause it was pinching my fingers and stole this mount from a friend of mine so I could use my spare red dot.

Dude... that mount looks great. Where can it be purchased?
 
Yes I got it painted and I purchased this mount from a guy at Reliable Gun.
Took the finish off the charging handle and scope mount because I want it to be patrol brown like the rest of the rifle.

Has anyone had any problems with Norinco yellow box? I had one case split in half yesterday, and it is making me wary of the ammo.

Because of the small sling points, i was thinking of just running a punch thru to open them up for better use of slings i have. Should i heat it up a little first? was going to use one of those propane torches for soldering...
 
Good video done by tvpresspass on the T97. This video features my rifle. I am surprised he didn't include the malfunction we had at the end of the day (it was the ammo not the gun at least).

Hey thanks for the link!

We were damn lucky with that case separation, but including it in that video would have pushed me past the deadly "4 minute runtime."

I would hope that it is firmly a crappy ammunition issue rather than something the T97 is doing to make the brass tear up like that.

They have a flat top upper for the T97 that should be out in december and have heard that they are working on a lower as well that fixes alot of the ergonomic issues the rifle has. Personally waiting out to buy one until I see the final product of these guys (same guys who do M14.ca and the blackfeather stock).
