The T97 Thread!

How would this attach to the rifle, chopping off the entire magazine well or just the magazine retaining guts?

Milling the existing mag well in such a way to house the new internals... The body of this prototype is just to hold the internal parts to test them. The parts will fit inside the existing mag housing.

And this comes at a time when im selling ym type97 for an x95 :/

If I ever get one again though this will be a must get if it gets off the ground.

Has anyone used their t97 for competition shooting like 3-Gun or CQB? want to know what stance is effective and what things help to get a firm grip, posture... Like front grips or AFGs. I know everyone has their style... But looking at options. Thx!

A good 2 point sling left hand covering the lhg+trigger guard so as to be as compact as possible. Leaning forward just like any other cqb stance.

Quite comfortable too.

I had a foregrip at the halfway point between the trigger guard and the end of the lower. Personally I cant use AFGs because they like krinking my wrists. Was more comfortable than being right up against the trigger guard. Lean forward bit as normal.

IMHO the magpul ar15 vids are good but not all applicable for a bull pup rifle. Most weight of the t-97 is in the center whereas the ar is longer in general.

What I meant was did it not say on the site, or when you went to pay, but I guess not. I hate when companies do that. It's not hard to add an 'amount of stock' to a shopping cart. And more professional.

They posted on their thread on the 29th

"Our new recoil pad with Magpul Enhanced rubber butt pad and machined 6061-T6 butt plate is now available for purchase on www.t97.ca This new butt pad assembly will offer better shoulder engagement as well as better recoil reduction with the Magpul Enhanced recoil pad's thicker, vented construction. We have machined the aluminum component to accept sling swivel studs at 10 and 2 o'clock to complete the sling swivel placements that ship with an LHG (the T97.ca Lower Hand Guard, Brownells Part No. 100-002-084). An overall good T97NSR upgrade. More to follow. Thank-you."

Figured that meant they had a bunch ready to go lol.

Oh well. Not a big deal.

Awwwe darnit. I went through and bought some QD cups thinking they would fit the T97, but the black feather m14 chassis has different thread size.

Fail

Should have paid better attention.
