The T97 Thread!

Hey, I know someone had their T97 factory muzzle device removed and the barrel threaded for a normal useable thread.

Did you just have the end cut off? Is the barrel still over 18.5" after that?

Guess I should measure it.

I've seen 18.5, 18.6, 18.7 and 19" advertised online.

Edit: Barrel is ~20 1/2" including the muzzle device. The muzzle device itself is ~ 2 3/8" long. Cutting it off would make it under 18.5" by 1/8th of an inch.

Might be able to save 1/8th - 1/4th of an inch by getting the device off before cutting the barrel.

I'll have to find a gunsmith and ask what can be done.

Lol just got my other charging handle. Itl work perfect but they messed up and didn't send the bolt with it.

It actually doesn't even interfere with the non reciprocating handle so you could have them on the same side of you really wanted.
 
Is there any way to increase the T97's LOP? I'm a tall guy, and much as I like the gun, it's far from comfy to shoot.

Also, look what I managed to find! Who needs an FTU? :

Finally got the bolt for the BC tactical charging handle.
Overall works great, even with the FTU.

Pretty expensive for what it is, and I wish it wasn't just painted. But itl work.

Well the upper was on it when I got it. Same with sling and backup sights.
LHG was $400
Angled grip was $40
BC tactical handle was $60
Vortex sparc 2 was $290
Cheap light was $30
Beowulf mag was $25
Grip was $20

Sooo $865? Plus $850 for the gun.

$1715 all in

Facebook. I was inquiring about how people enjoyed mounting optics high over bore, and one person responded that he knew a guy with a YMA. So I drove down to Calgary and bought it off him. Worth every penny-doubt I'll ever see another. Closest estimate pegs numbers imported as 20-odd.

I aim to please. There's a rotating...latch, I guess, on the left side. The optic is slapped on, pulled back on the rail, then the latch is rotated, moving the clamp shut. Interesting design, and holds zero when removed to allow for cleaning or rapid switching to irons for CQB.





 
Since the reticle is very crisp and small, I find it hard to get a photo. But the manual has a page with a diagram, so close enough. I have the manual, case, and original inspection certificate for the optic, too.
