The T97 Thread!

Durham outdoors listed them at $799 normal / $1100 FTU today.

Just grabbed one now im here.

I told myself I would never buy a NORC again after my last few but I held the T97 and played with it at a few shows and seems ok to me. Abit worried but for 838$ shipped and taxed screw it. Atlest it will fit in with my red collection that makes up 90% of my guns.

At the price you may have to get out the credit card and add a NSR :p

I find it interesting how the price of almost all other guns go up including the Norc m305 that I seen at 650$ recently but the T97 price drops...

I still remember when I had my name on the can am pre order for 850$, that was a crazy low price ever at 13% tax. Now for less than 850$ I can have it to my door.

If the price is dropping it's probably because they aren't selling well and need to move inventory.

Supply and demand I guess.

Tiny screencaps from a CHinese movie about the PLA

This shows it best, the pic rail actually sits lower than the stock rail, you might even be able to co-witness that red dot, which is neat. I like that it keeps the QBZ profile.

Nice find Jarvy.
I'ld hate to find out how many times you googled, "Peoples Liquidation Army", until you ran into those pics.
:p

I wish someone would bring in a version that takes original style mag but only just re-chambered to 5.56.
Keep the original AK/SAN style mag release, instead of the whole AR mag thing. 5 rounds be darned.
QBZ-95-1 version ergo would be bonus, if the Chicom allows export.

As well I am very curious about the reliability of the QBZ-97A version's STANAG magwell and feeding, I know the Cambodia Special Operations is 3rd world and all, but I don't believe they will be ok with the level of FTF and mag issues Canadians are reporting about the NSR T-97.

I know some filipinos who had the chance to use some full auto 97As, they said that there is mag issues with them sometimes but they find which mags work for their gun which solved the issue.

Thanks for the info.
IMHO if they had gone with the route of using the original mag design instead of the AR magwell, a lot of the reliability issues reported would have been avoided. And therefore a lot of the b*tching noise on CGN regarding this gun's quality could also have been avoided too.

True enough, but i didnt mind putting the work to it and it runs like a top now.

Makes you wonder if it would have been easier to fit an existing mag like the rock in style of the Swiss Arms type mag for 5.56mm?

I'm glad they went AR mag instead of proprietary.

$20 mags instead of $50 mags and available everywhere.

Just wait till next year and get t97.ca paddle mag release.

I've had zero issues since finding the mags it likes... no modifications.

On both 14xx and 15xx serial number rifles I've had to take a hand file to the inside of the magwell to get lancers and IWIs to fit. Never had a problem with PMAGs though.
